  • Patent number: 6702311
Abstract: A front visor attachment structure provided with a front fender attachment member formed in a front part of a bottom bridge supporting a front fork. A front fender and a lower part of a front visor are attached to the front fender attachment member, and an upper part of the front visor is attached to a top bridge. A projection member at the end of a bolt projects above the front fender attachment member, and the lower part of the front visor is engaged with the projection member. Since the front fender and the front visor are attached to the front fender attachment member of the bottom bridge, the shape of the bottom bridge can be simplified.

  • Patent number: 4717163
Abstract: The known fuel tank for straddled type vehicles that is formed to have an inverse U-shaped transverse cross-section with its lower section bifurcated into left and right branch portions so as to straddle a main pipe of the straddled type vehicle from the above, is improved in that at least one of the rear bottom surface and the front bottom surface of either one of the lower bifurcated branch portions of the fuel tank is formed in a slant surface inclined upwards toward the corresponding end of the fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 4629201
Abstract: An improved locking structure for detachably locking a front portion of a seat to a fuel tank in a straddled type vehicle in which the fuel tank is disposed in front of the seat, is disclosed. The locking structure comprises a fixed stay having a locking pin projected from its rear upper surface and provided with an opening in its front portion, said fixed stay being adapted to be fixedly secured to the fuel tank by means of a bolt passing through the opening under the state where the fixed stay is butted against the rear upper surface of the fuel tank, and a bifurcated slide stay having a bifurcated front portion that is engageable with the locking pin and adapted to be fixedly and integrally secured to a front lower surface of bottom plate of the seat.

  • Patent number: 4461489
Abstract: An improved body frame with a liquid tank secured integrally thereto for a motorcycle is disclosed which is constructed such that at least a part of the body frame is constituted of a pipe member. The improvement consists in that the liquid tank serving as an oil tank or the like is constituted by a combination of a main pipe fixedly connected to a head pipe and a gusset fixedly secured to said main pipe. The liquid tank includes a first holding chamber and a second holding chamber which are in communication with one another, said first holding chamber being defined by a combination of a part of the main pipe and the gusset, while said second holding chamber being defined by the inside space of the main pipe. Further, the liquid tank includes a defining chamber having a small holding capacity which is communication therewith, said defining chamber being equipped therein with a surface level detecting unit by means of which the surface level of liquid in the liquid tank is detected.
