  • Publication number: 20080177734
Abstract: A method presents a rank-ordered result set for a probabilistic input query. Terms in the query are recognized and a probability is assigned to each term. The probability expresses a confidence in correctly recognizing the term. A database is searched for items corresponding to the probabilistic query using the terms and the assigned probabilities to produce a result set. The result set is then highlighted according to the probabilities and presented to a user as a hierarchical graph, where a level in the hierarchy represents an ordering ranking of the result set.

  • Publication number: 20080059994
Abstract: A method determines an amount of time consumers are viewing an advertising display. A sequence of images is acquired by a camera of a scene in front of an advertising display. Faces are detected in the sequence of images. For each detected face, determine an orientation of the face with respect to the advertising display and a preference for a particular advertisement can be determined.

  • Patent number: 7139006
Abstract: A method presents a set of input images on a display device. First, a set of display images is selected from the set of images. A 3D layout is assigned to each selected image, and a 3D trajectory is assigned to a virtual camera. A set of active images of the set of display images is rendered according to the layout and the trajectory. The set of active images includes a collector image. The collector images is rendered statically in a collector frame of an image plane of the display device, while remaining images in the set of active images are rendered dynamically on the image plane. Then, the layout and trajectory are animated according user input, and the rendering and animating is repeated until a termination condition is reached.

  • Publication number: 20030229861
Abstract: An antenna design method is supplied with antenna design parameters in an antenna specification. The design specification is parsed to produce free variables and constraints. A random sampling of a set of antenna designs is generated from the free variables and constraints in the form of performance vectors. The performance vectors are then dispersed in a design space which is visualized vectors as antenna designs, and a particular antenna design is selected as a useful antenna design.
