Abstract: A method to provide an insight to a decision maker to assist them in deciding how to perform a task includes: determining a time constraint in which the task needs to be performed; adjusting an accuracy of a computer program designed to calculate the insight to ensure that the insight is generated within the time constraint; scheduling execution of the computer program; and providing an insight output by the executed computer program to the decision maker.

Abstract: Apparatus, method, computer program product, and system described for an autonomous vehicle (a drone) which uses one or more hosts to transport that drone on its journey. Potential hosts along the envisioned journey can be rated as to their suitability. That rating along with an indication of the value of traveling under its own power or remaining stationary for a particular time can be evaluated at any point along the journey to produce an effective route, time, cost, or whatever other factor is desirable. The drone can chose between these states and communicate with potential hosts and even stationary positions or it can remain in the mode it was just in. The drone can switch between one host and another, be charged by a host or at a stationary location, and can evaluate the different modes differently depending on the needs of the user and the drone itself.

Abstract: A method for visualizing data represented by a graph includes receiving data represented as a directed graph that overlays a vector field upon the directed graph, where a vector of the vector field is associated with each vertex of the directed graph and forms an angle with an edge associated with said vertex, determining a threshold function for each edge with respect to the vector field, filtering from the directed graph all edges whose threshold function value with respect to the vector field is less than a predetermined threshold value; and visualizing the filtered directed graph.
