  • Patent number: 8057229
Abstract: At least one embodiment of the present invention relates to a dental implant for supporting a coronal component. In at least one embodiment, the implant includes a fixture part forming an apical bone contact part of the implant, an abutment part forming a coronal component support part of the implant, and an abutment screw, wherein said abutment part is arranged to, in an assembled state of said dental implant, be fixed to the fixture part by the abutment screw, and wherein a coronal end portion of the abutment screw is arranged to, in the assembled state, be positioned coronally of a coronal end portion of the abutment part. At least one embodiment of the present invention also relates to abutment structures and methods for implanting a dental implant.

  • Publication number: 20070295620
Abstract: According to the present application, a medical package including a container (1) and a medical component (6), in particular a dental implant component, is disclosed. Said container (1) in a closed position thereof forms a component compartment (2) for said medical component (6) and an access channel (5) for an external instrument. Said access channel (5) is dimensioned to prevent said component (6) from passing through the access channel (5) and to allow said instrument to be inserted through the channel (5) and brought into engagement with the component (6) while the container (1) is in its closed position. Said container (1) is transferable to an open position while maintaining said engagement of the external instrument with the component (6), and said component (6), in the open position of said container (1), is removable from the container (1) by said external instrument.

  • Patent number: 6951460
Abstract: The invention relates to components for an improved system for pick-up impression making at a dental implantation site, including an abutment, an abutment replica and an impression coping. The invention also relates to a series of abutments and to a set comprising an abutment and an impression coping. The impression coping has a through passage extending from a coronal end to an apical end of the impression coping and includes an abutment surrounding region for surrounding the abutment. The abutment surrounding region has a coronal end, an apical end and an inner wall. The inner wall includes at least one abutment contact surface for contact with the abutment, and at least one space forming surface for being spaced apart from the abutment in order to provide a space between the space forming surface and the abutment.

The invention also relates to a series of abutments and to a set comprising an abutment and an impression coping. The abutment includes an implant contacting region and a component support region, the component support region has a maximum diameter and extends coronally of the maximum diameter to a coronal end. The component support region also includes a component engagement arranged for releasable engagement with the component by linear displacement of the dental component in relation to the abutment. The component engagement is located at a position closer to the maximum diameter than to the coronal end of the component support region.
