Abstract: Embodiments disclose a reusable shipping container. The container may comprise six multi-layered walls of a plastic material. Further, the container may comprise a rail fastened to a top edge of the container with a plurality of first fasteners, wherein the fasteners penetrate on the rail, a first layer and a second layer of the container. Moreover, the container may comprise an insulation layer of vacuum insulation material and an inner layer corresponding to each wall of the container. Methods are also described for packing a parcel for shipment. The insulation layer and the inner layer are inserted into the container, wherein the inner layer encloses the parcel. Thereafter, an insulation layer corresponding to a top wall is inserted and the top wall is closed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a reusable container for shipping parcels that is both durable for repeated use and is provided with a reusable, inflatable bladder, cushioning material. The container includes an improved closure that both protects the container contents and is durable enough to serve as a support surface for other containers stacked thereon. The container also employs a seal to prevent water intrusion, is configured to nest for storage, and employs an improved lifting and carrying system that evenly distributes the weight of the container.

Abstract: A reusable shipping system comprises a closable shipping container and a packing ensemble disposed in the container's interior which includes an expandable cushioning assembly and at least one reusable packing accessory. The expandable cushioning assembly may be a layered arrangement having at least one foam layer and an inflatable bladder, while the packing accessory may be one or more cushioned bags or the like. Methods are also described for preparing a shipping container having a padded interior and a layered cushioning assembly. One or more items are inserted into the shipping container, and its cushioning assembly is thereafter expanded, for example by inflating a bladder, to compress the container's padded interior against the item(s).

Abstract: Provided is a shipping container having a flexible outer casing, a shell insert that is removeably received within the casing's interior and a tillable insert removeably disposed within an interior of the shell for receiving a shipping parcel. The fillable insert structure may be filled with a medium, such as air, to provide a cushioned environment for the parcel, and the shell insert may include a shelf panel which supports an accessory compartment for receiving selected items to accompany the parcel.

Abstract: Provided is a method for shipping a parcel from a primary to a secondary location in a reusable container, and returning the container to a tertiary location. The parcel is packaged in the container which includes a label construction. The label construction includes a base substrate for securing to the container, a sleeve overlaying the base substrate, and a transparent viewing window having an exposed surface for removably receiving an address label. A first removable label is adhered to the transparent viewing window and includes information corresponding to an address for the secondary location. A second removable label is placed inside the sleeve and includes information corresponding to an address for a tertiary location. The package is delivered to the secondary location where it is un-packed and the first label is removed thereby exposing the second label for viewing through the window for delivery to the tertiary location.

Abstract: Labeling constructions are provided for use in facilitating the preparation of shipping containers. The labeling constructions are also reusable so that packages can be conveniently shipped between senders and recipients numerous times. Container constructions and methodologies which employ such labeling constructions are also provided.

Abstract: A container to receive a parcel for shipment to an intended recipient comprises a pouch having a pouch interior and a mouth, a closure movable between open and closed positions, and a protective insert structure removably disposed in the pouch interior to substantially envelop the parcel and reduce risk of damage to it during shipment. In another embodiment, the container comprises a container body, a closure and a air bladder disposed in the container body for receiving and substantially enveloping the items to reduce damage thereto during shipment. Methodologies are also provided for shipping a parcel from a shipper located at an origin address location to an intended recipient located at a destination address location.

The removable label includes strip material for receiving information corresponding to an address of an intended recipient and an adhesive layer. The label panel is adapted to be supported by the container body and includes a transparent surface portion formed of a material to which the adhesive will adhere sufficiently to retain the label on the transparent surface portion during shipment, yet from which it may be removed without tearing the strip material. A methodology of shipping parcels is also provided which contemplates preparation of a shipping package having such a reusable labeling construction.

A signal transmitter can be included with the container. The system includes special cartons and pallets for a plurality of containers.

The bladder may be filled with air via an inflation valve that communicates with an array of inflatable cells in communication with one another. The inflated bladder provides protection for the storage of items or may be used as a cushioned support.
