Abstract: A method for production of absorbent articles having the shape of pants including providing individual absorption cores, securing the absorption cores to an elastic material web which is advanced continuously in a direction of travel, assembling the individual articles to form a pants shape, cutting out individual articles each comprising an absorption core and a piece of the elastic material web, the cutting-out stage and assembling stage giving each article two leg openings and a waist opening. The elastic material web has an elastic extensibility in the direction of travel of at least 80%, and preferably at least 100%, and the elastic material web during production is stretched a maximum of 5% in the direction of travel of the material web.

Abstract: Absorbent article provided with a pair of belt members intended to be fastened together around the waist of the wearer and where the front portion is provided with fastening elements intended to be fastened to the belt members, such that the article will assume a pantlike shape, where the belt members form a part of the waist portions of the pant. The belt members are before use double-folded and cut in an arcuate shape whose tangent to the arcuate curve formed by respective longitudinal edges of the belt members in the area of the fold makes a substantially right angle to the fold. The folded belt members are applied to the rear portion of the article, and when the article is to be used they are unfolded, and form an arcuate shape where the portions on either sides of the fold are the mirror image of each other.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a plurality of blanks for disposable pants includes continuously feeding a web along a path, the web having a longitudinal direction coinciding with the path and a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and the web having first and second end edges extending in the longitudinal direction, cutting the web into a plurality of first and second pant blanks, each of the first and second blanks having a front part and a back part, the front and back parts being arranged in sequence in the transverse direction of the web, wherein the cutting is performed in such a way that the blanks are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the web with every second blank being rotated 180° with respect to every first blank.

Abstract: Absorbent article such as a diaper and an incontinence guard comprising a liquid permeable topsheet (2), a liquid impermeable backsheet (3) and an absorbent body (4) enclosed therebetween, said article having a front portion (5), a rear portion (6) and a crotch portion (7), therebetween, whereby the front and rear portion exhibits side flaps (8, 9), which are intended to attach the article to a pantlike shape around the waist of the user. Abstract: An absorbent article of pants shape includes an elastic waist portion, an absorbent element (5), and a liquid-impermeable outer layer (3). The elastic waist portion is made from an elastic first piece (1) which is rectangular and is intended to form the rear portion (8) and side portions (9, 10) of the article. A second piece (2) forms the front portion (11) and crotch portion (12) of the pants-like article. The second piece (2) is elongate, and the width thereof is, at least in the crotch portion (12), smaller than the length of the first piece (1). The absorbent element (5) is in its entirety arranged on the second piece (2).
