  • Patent number: 8141329
Abstract: A method and apparatus for making packages with internal headers from an elongated web of preformed interconnected bags. The packages with internal headers are made by inserting a product or a header into a bag. The bag is sealed to form a first compartment that contains the inserted bag or header. The other of the product and the header is inserted into the bag. The bag is sealed to form a second compartment that contains other of the product or header. The package is separated from the elongated web of interconnected bags.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7121328
Abstract: A refrigerator condenser includes a spiraled tube and wire member construction to form a substantially longitudinal and rounded passage between a first end and a second end. The second end of the condenser is closed, thereby preventing longitudinal airflow through the passage and producing airflow into the passage in a substantially perpendicular direction to the condenser surface. Heat transfer to the air is thereby maximized and efficiency of the condenser is increased.

  • Patent number: 5723014
Abstract: The invention is directed to an orthopaedic implant (30, 50) including a metallic body (42, 52) having a metallic bearing surface (44, 54). The orthopaedic implant also includes a device (46, 56) for applying an electromotive force to the metallic bearing surface (44, 54). The electromotive force may result from a galvanic couple with the bearing surface (44, 54) or a direct current power source (56) connected with the bearing surface (44, 54).

  • Patent number: 4747308
Abstract: Method and apparatus for nondestructively estimating density of contiguous segments along the length of a straight, elongated specimen which is uniform in cross-section and heterogeneous in density throughout its length comprising maintaining the specimen in a horizontal position by supporting it at two points near opposite ends of the specimen; measuring the downward force exerted by the specimen at one of the points while periodically moving the other support along the length of the specimen. The measurements are applied to a static equilibrium equation together with external dimensions to determine segment densities.
