  • Patent number: 8683012
Abstract: There is provided a device and method for providing remote control of a computer system. An exemplary remote control multiplexing system comprises a first viewing application that is adapted to allow a controlling computer to control a remote computer via a communication link and a connection multiplexer that is adapted to establish a first communication session with the first viewing application and a second communication session with a second viewing application and to deliver packets received from the remote computer via the communication link to the first viewing application and the second viewing application independently as though each of the first viewing application and the second viewing application is an only viewing application in communication with the connection multiplexer.

  • Patent number: 7896302
Abstract: A remotely installable piping support attachment assembly employs a T-bolt type fastener for clamping a relatively smaller instrumentation pipe, e.g., the jet pump sensing line, to the wall of an adjacent structure. The attachment assembly includes a T-bolt, a split pipe clamp support, a ratchet nut with peripheral ratchet teeth, and a ratchet lock washer. When the nut is tightened on the threaded shank of the T-bolt, a top plate and an anchor of the split pipe clamp support are pressed together to clamp the jet pump sensing line therebetween. The top plate is defined by an L-beam folded spring plate comprised of first and second plate parts disposed generally in parallel and joined at a living hinge flex joint so that said plate parts each have a free end edge remote from said flex joint, the free end edges being spaced apart to define a gap therebetween without preload.

  • Publication number: 20070026531
Abstract: A nanostructured substance, a process for sequestration of ionic waste, and an ion-sequestration apparatus are disclosed in the specification. The nanostructured substance can comprise a Lewis acid transition metal bound to a phosphate, wherein the phosphate comprises a primary structural component of the substance and the Lewis acid transition metal is a reducing agent. The nanostructured substance has a Brunner-Emmet-Teller (BET) surface area greater than or equal to approximately 100 m2/g, and a distribution coefficient for an analyte, Kd, greater than or equal to approximately 5000 ml/g. The process can comprise contacting a fluid and a nanostructured metal phosphate. The apparatus can comprise a vessel and a nanostructured metal phosphate. The vessel defines a volume wherein a fluid contacts the nanostructured metal phosphate.

  • Patent number: 4973371
Abstract: A process for molding foam products from foam precursors reacted in a mold cavity formed in part by a mold lid and which is covered by a double layer cover to maintain the surface of the lid clean during the foaming process comprising the steps of: providing a double layered cover having four working surfaces; adhering one of the working surfaces to the lid and thereafter closing the tool lid and foaming the part. The lid is opened and the cover and foam part are separated from the mold. The lid is separated from the double layer cover and foam part at a working surface of low strength adhesive; a release sheet of the cover is separated at two other working surfaces to expose a high strength adhesive for connecting the foam part to another member. The double layer cover used for practicing the process includes a foam layer adapted to have one surface thereof bonded to foam material and including a high strength adhesive backing thereon.

  • Patent number: 4860815
Abstract: A method and apparatus for manufacturing a composite article by use of a mold core and a cavity block and wherein a skin and insert are placed in the mold cavity and foam precursors are poured into the mold cavity to complete the article includes a process in which a series of part replicas are formed and used to cast thermally stable liners that are carried by the mold core and mold cavity. The thermally stable liners have low melt temperatures and can be reused and recast following wear during the molding process. The liners are made from material which has low shrinkage and expansion rates to define a mold assembly that will produce repeatable parts.
