  • Patent number: 7335580
Abstract: Sub-lithographic lamella and pillar structures defined by larger lines or lamellae are described. A static random access memory (SRAM) cell structure is created in a three-dimensional format as a vertical stack of wired transistors. These transistors are fabricated from crystalline silicon, and supplemental wiring structure features are fabricated to comprise a circuit along the walls of a vertical pillar. The three-dimensional cell integrated circuit can be created by a single mask step. Various structural features and methods of fabrication are described in detail. Peripheral interface, a two pillar version and other supplemental techniques and structural variations are also described.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 1, 2006
Date of Patent: February 26, 2008
Inventors: Walter Richard Buerger, Jr., Jakob Hans Hohl, Mary Lundgren Long, Kent Ridgeway

  • Patent number: 6228175
Abstract: Apparatus for producing a wet oxygen stream for a semiconductor furnace to form oxide layers on silicon wafers. A quartz vessel with quartz chips is heated to 450° C. and a mixture of water and oxygen is introduced at the bottom of the vessel. Vaporization occurs at the input of the water and oxygen into the vessel. The output of wet oxygen as superheated stream passes through the chips and is taken from the top of the vessel to the furnace. The quartz vessel is nested in an aluminum body containing heaters to maintain constant temperature. The ratio of water vapor to oxygen in the wet stream is constant to produce layers of predictable characteristics.

  • Patent number: 5569375
Abstract: A closed filtration system for transporting a liquid from a first container through a filter to a second container by the injection of gas under pressure into the first container. The container's filter and fluid conduit are attached to a common housing. The housing is provided with gas and liquid channels for each container. Ingress and egress tubes extend from the channels into the containers to permit the transfer of liquid from the first container to the second container.
