Patent number: 9800635Abstract: A communication system comprising a controlling server coupled to a controlled server via a socket communication channel to stream sensitive information to a desktop computer for viewing in a secured manner. The streamed information is not stored at the desktop. The controlling server streams the information to the desktop computer as long as the server is receiving a continuous uninterrupted flow of requests for information signals from the desktop computer. The user continuously depresses the mouse on the desktop to generate the continuous uninterrupted requests to view the sensitive information in a secure manner. The controlling server will immediately stop streaming the sensitive information and thus stop the display of the sensitive information upon detection of any interruption of the continuous transmission of request signals as would occur, for example, if the user were to unexpectedly leave the desktop unattended.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2013Date of Patent: October 24, 2017Assignee: C21 Patents, LLCInventor: Kent S. Charugundla

Publication number: 20170195858Abstract: A paging system that allows a paging device to page a pager via a signaling channel of a communication network to which the pager is coupled. An alerting server that is part of the paging system receives a paging request from the paging device and converts the paging request to a paging message that is then transmitted over the signaling channel to the pager device. In response to the paging message, the pager device transmits a contact message indicating reception of the paging message and starts a timer for a defined time period during which the pager device is to transmit an acknowledgment message over the signaling channel to the alerting server which informs the paging device that the page has been properly received.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2016Publication date: July 6, 2017Inventor: Kent S. Charugundla

Publication number: 20170006444Abstract: An Intelligent Independent Call Server (IICS) is coupled to communication equipment of a network that signals the IICS of an established telephone call during which the IICS provides additional features to communication equipment of parties to the established telephone who are subscribers to the services being provided by the IICS. The services being provided by the IICS comprise various telephone call features that can be requested by parties to the established telephone call who have subscribed to such features. Subscriber parties to the telephone call request for specific features during the telephone call by dialing, on their communication devices, certain IICS defined sequences of DTMF keys which when recognized by the IICS causes it to execute the corresponding feature.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 2, 2015Publication date: January 5, 2017Inventor: Kent S. Publication number: 20160234384Abstract: A communication system capable of allocating resources to provide text services to IP telephone users upon receiving requests for text services during a telephone call or during the establishment of the telephone call. The system uses available resources for text services efficiently in that it allocates the resources upon receiving a request for text services and de-allocates the resources upon termination of the telephone call or upon receiving a request for termination of text services during the telephone call. A party to the telephone call can make a request for text services or make a request to terminate text services during the telephone call by activating a button on its IP phone.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 18, 2016Publication date: August 11, 2016Inventor: Kent S. Publication number: 20150189083Abstract: A telephone with a call screening device is able to screen automated calls by transmitting a message containing an instruction upon detecting an incoming call. The instruction from the call screening device requests that the calling party respond to the message correctly and in time before the call screening device allows the telephone to ring and the call answered. The instruction contains, inter alia, a string of randomly generated numbers that the calling party is asked to dial as part of his/her response. In the event that the response is not received in time or the response is incorrect, the call screening device terminates the call without the phone ever ringing.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 10, 2015Publication date: July 2, 2015Inventor: Kent S. Publication number: 20140370942Abstract: A feature pack coupled to and interfaced with a cellular phone, which is able to relieve the cellular telephone from performing tasks associated with several of battery power draining features of the cell phone thus preserving the power of the battery of the cellular telephone. The feature pack, while interfaced and coupled to the cellular telephone, uses its own circuitry and battery to perform these tasks. The feature has a compartment within which the cellular telephone (or other device with which it is coupled) is disposed. The feature pack has circuitry separate from the coupled device, but is able to use audio and other types of signals from the coupled device to perform such tasks as using speakers, microphones, recording voice and audio signals and communicating with external devices via a Blue Tooth interface.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2013Publication date: December 18, 2014Inventor: Kent S.
