  • Publication number: 20100285882
Abstract: A mat for video game console in one embodiment includes pressure sensors; a master controller; A/D converters; a light controller; and indicators. Each pressure sensor is in signal communication with a corresponding A/D converter. The A/D converters are in signal communication with the master controller. In response to a person standing on the mat when playing video games on the video game console the pressure sensors sense the weight of the person and a leg action thereof, generate analog signals representing same, and send the analog signals to the A/D converters, the A/D converters convert the analog signals into digital signals which are in turn sent to the master controller, the master controller processes the digital signals for controlling the video game console and flashing the indicator through the light controller.

  • Publication number: 20090156308
Abstract: Provided is a mat for a video game console. The mat includes a zone including weight sensitive pads having a mark on the top surface; an LCD; indicators around a track surrounding the zone and bordering the LCD; a light controller; a transceiver; and an MCU. In response to stepping on one pad corresponding to a mark shown on a TV associated with the console, the pad is activated to enable the MCU to generate a signal representing which pad the foot is stepping on, and the signal is transmitted from the MCU to the TV to display an updated score. Also, the MCU can activate the light controller to flash the indicators in a sequence. At the same time, operating a wireless controller to activate the console will transmit another signal either from the MCU to the console via the transceiver and the wireless controller or vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20080248882
Abstract: An adapter in one embodiment includes a conversion circuit, a first connector adapted to connect to a port of a PS3, a second connector adapted to connect to a PS2 controller, and a port adapted to connect to a removable memory card for PS2. The conversion circuit is adapted to convert a PS2 signal sent from the connected PS2 controller into a PS3 signal prior to sending to the connected PS3, and convert a PS2 data signal sent from the connected memory card into a PS3 data signal prior to sending to the connected PS3. Alternatively, the adapter and the PS2 controller are connected by wireless.

  • Publication number: 20040130291
Abstract: A charger device for wireless hand-held controller is disclosed. The device comprises a DC charge socket, a contact coupled to a terminal of a rechargeable cell in a battery compartment, a charge IC electrically interconnected the DC charge socket and the contact, and an adapter for DC charging. In charging, insert the first and the second DC plugs in the DC charge jack and the DC charge socket respectively so that a required DC is automatically fetched by the charge IC from the control assembly to the cell via the contact. The invention can eliminate conventional charger seat and adapter, charge the controller without coupling to a USB port of computer and a charger jack of automobile, maintain a normal wireless signal transmission of the controller during charging, and maintain a good wireless signal transmission quality during charging by the provision of the charge IC.
