    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing an electrolytic capacitor, the method including the steps of preparing an anode foil that includes a dielectric layer, a cathode foil, and a fiber structure; preparing a conductive polymer dispersion liquid that contains a conductive polymer component and a dispersion medium; producing a separator by applying the conductive polymer dispersion liquid to the fiber structure and then removing at least a portion of the dispersion medium; and producing a capacitor element by sequentially stacking the anode foil, the separator, and the cathode foil. The dispersion medium contains water. The fiber structure contains a synthetic fiber in an amount of 50 mass % or more. The fiber structure has a density of 0.2 g/cm3 or more and less than 0.45 g/cm3.

    Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, a first current collector, and a case. The capacitor element includes a wound body in which a first electrode foil and a second electrode foil are wound. The first electrode foil and the second electrode foil face each other. The first current collector is connected to the first electrode foil. The case houses the capacitor element and the first current collector. The first electrode foil includes a first facing portion that faces the second electrode foil and a first non-facing portion that does not face the second electrode foil. The first non-facing portion is located at a first end portion in a winding axis of the wound body. The first current collector is disposed in a vicinity of the first end portion of the wound body to be connected to the first non-facing portion of the first electrode foil.

In the first connection step, a first internal lead having a foil shape is connected to a first electrode foil. In the second connection step, after the first connection step, a first external lead having a rod shape is connected to the first internal lead to obtain the first electrode. In the first insertion step, the first external lead is inserted into an insertion port of a sealing plate after the second connection step. In the housing step, the first electrode is housed in a container after the first insertion step. In the sealing step, an opening of the container is closed with the sealing plate after the housing step.
