  • Patent number: 11926152
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a carriage mounted with a printing unit; a first motor configured to move the carriage in a predetermined direction; a second motor configured to move the carriage in the predetermined direction; and a control unit. The control unit executes a first mode in which, when causing the printing unit to perform printing under a first printing condition, the first motor is driven in a first direction and the second motor is driven in the first direction, and a second mode in which, when causing the printing unit to perform printing under a second printing condition different from the first printing condition, the first motor is driven in the first direction and the second motor is driven in the first direction while changing an output ratio between the first motor and the second motor.

  • Publication number: 20220097427
Abstract: A carriage apparatus characterized by comprising a carriage configured to reciprocally move in a predetermined direction, a first motor arranged on a side of one end of a range of movement of the carriage and configured to drive the carriage, a second motor arranged on a side of the other end of the range of movement of the carriage, configured to drive the carriage, and has the same kind of driving characteristics as driving characteristics of the first motor, detection means for detecting a position of the carriage related to the predetermined direction, and control means for controlling driving of the first motor and the second motor by feeding back a detection result detected by the detection means.

  • Publication number: 20220097405
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a carriage, a tank, a flow passage, and a valve. The carriage includes a recording head that ejects liquid contained in the tank and supplied from the flow passage. The flow passage includes (i) a fixed flow passage connected to the tank without following a movement of the carriage, (ii) a first flow passage that follows the movement of the carriage and is branched off from the fixed flow passage and connected to the recording head, and (iii) a second flow passage that follows the movement of the carriage and is branched off from the fixed flow passage and connected to the recording head. The valve is provided in one of the first and second flow passages and limits a flow of liquid from the tank to the recording head and allows liquid to flow from the recording head to the tank.

  • Publication number: 20220097390
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a carriage, a tank, and a flow passage. The carriage includes a liquid ejecting recording head and reciprocates in first and second directions. The flow passage supplies liquid from the tank to the recording head, and includes a fixed flow passage, a first flow passage, and a second flow passage. The fixed flow passage is connected to the tank and does not to follow a movement of the carriage. The first flow passage is branched off from the fixed flow passage, is connected to the recording head in the first direction, and follows the carriage movement. The second flow passage is branched off from the fixed flow passage, is connected to the recording head in the second direction, and follows the carriage movement. After the carriage moves in the first direction, stops, and moves in the second direction, liquid is sucked from the recording head.
