The device includes C-band WXC units that are the same in total number as the wavelength bands of the optical signals of the respective wavelength bands and perform relay processing on optical signals of a specific wavelength band of the different wavelength bands.

The first switching circuit and the second switching circuit respectively connects the first end and the second end of the sub-line alternately to the coupling terminal and to the terminal circuit. The first switching circuit connects the first end to the coupling terminal at a time that differs from a time at which the first switching circuit disconnects the first end from the terminal circuit. The first switching circuit disconnects the first end from the coupling terminal at a time that differs from a time at which the first switching circuit connects the first end to the terminal circuit.

The cleaning method includes introducing the cleaning solution to the storage chamber via the introduction hole, discharging the cleaning solution from the discharge port and making the cleaning solution flow down along the peripheral edge side upper surface of the inner cup, thereby cleaning away the coating solution adhering to the peripheral edge side upper surface. The discharging in the cleaning discharges the cleaning solution from discharge ports of the inner cup outward in the radial direction and obliquely upward.
