The second housing member includes a rotary ring body with a rotation axis agreeing with the center axis of the first housing member, and the plurality of the plate-lake radiation fins. The plurality of the radiation fins is parallel to one virtual plane containing the rotation axis, and disposed at intervals between each other in the direction orthogonal to the virtual plane. The inner wall of the rotary ring body surrounds the outer walls of the first and second housing members to combine the members.

    Abstract: A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine, a first rotating electric machine starting the internal combustion engine, a power control unit for operating the first rotating electric machine, a power storage device for supplying electric power to the power control unit, and a control device controlling the power control unit such that a voltage of the power storage device does not fall below a lower limit. When a change condition including a condition that the internal combustion engine is being operated is met, the control device sets the lower limit at a value lower than while the internal combustion engine is at a stop. Preferably, the change condition further includes a condition that a magnitude of voltage change of the power storage device is less than or equal to a first threshold value in addition to the condition that the internal combustion engine is being operated.

Accordingly, cost is reduced as compared to a conventional transmission, and heat generation of the friction spring is minimized.

According to the invention, in case that the operation of the engine is started when the speed of the hybrid vehicle is higher than or equal to a predetermined speed and a power required for the power output device is larger than or equal to a predetermined power, the engine speed, which increases as the speed of the hybrid vehicle increases, is set as the target engine speed.
