  • Patent number: 8667142
Abstract: A transfer-source terminal, a communication-destination terminal, and a nearby terminal existing in the neighborhood of transfer-source terminal are provided. The nearby terminal collects connectivity information for monitoring connectivity after terminal switching by performing a communication process with the communication-destination terminal, and transmits the connectivity information collected to the transfer-source terminal. The transfer-source terminal receives connectivity information from the nearby terminal by a connectivity information receiving unit, determines a transfer-destination terminal from among the nearby terminals according to connectivity information by a transfer-destination terminal determinating unit, and transfers a communication session with a communication-destination terminal to the transfer-destination terminal determined, by a session transferring unit.

  • Patent number: 8275906
Abstract: A switch instruction is transmitted from a PC terminal to a portable PC terminal; the portable PC terminal transmits a switch connection request to a portable communication terminal on the other end of communication; the portable PC terminal, when it is waiting for a response to the switch connection request and receives a switch connection request from the other end of communication, detects that switching processes are being performed simultaneously; upon detection of the simultaneous switching, a switching session related to either switch connection request is determined to be continued; the portable PC terminal, which received the switch connection request to which the switching session determined to be continued was related, transmits a success response including information on the switching process of the portable PC terminal side; and the PC terminal, which received the switch connection request to which the one to be stopped was related, transmits a failure response.

  • Publication number: 20110125915
Abstract: A TCP transmission control device enables high-efficiency TCP transmission for appliance integrated service provided via a home network. A TCP destination cache control unit (206) of a transmitting terminal (200) serving as the TCP transmission control device sets TCP transmission control information used for TCP connection set up, for an internal packet network, between the transmitting terminal (200) and a receiving terminal when the receiving terminal is present in the internal packet network. The TCP destination cache control unit (206) sets the TCP transmission control information according to the type of the service realized by TCP data transmission.

  • Patent number: 7796512
Abstract: A session mobility for moving a session held between a switching source device and a communication counterpart to a switching destination device other than the switching source device. The switching source device transmits media data relating to a session by multicast or broadcast prior to device switching. The switching destination candidate device receives the transmitted media data, and thereby switching destination determined device, in replace of the switching source device, outputs media data. Thus, a switching time from a switching source device to a switching destination device can be made fast such that a user cannot perceive it.
