Abstract: A motor control device includes: a current position detector that detects a current position of a driven object driven by an external motor; a position comparator that compares the current position of the driven object with a target position; a speed controller that subjects the motor to speed control based on a target speed of the driven object; a position controller that subjects the motor to position control based on the target position of the driven object; and a control switcher that switches control of the motor from the speed control to the position control when a difference between the current position and target position of the driven object becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold value.
