Abstract: An ultrasound probe includes: a head part that is long in a front-rear direction and incorporates a transducer array in which transducers that transmit and receive ultrasonic waves to and from a subject are arranged; and a grip part that has a rod shape and is connected to the head part. At least one finger holding groove is formed on one side surface of at least one of front, rear, left, or right side surface of the grip part. Each finger holding groove extends along a horizontal plane, a groove edge step is formed on a side edge of each finger holding groove, and no step is formed on an end edge of each finger holding groove.
