Publication number: 20190323262Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a lock assembly comprising an inner housing positionable on one side of a movable structure such as a door and an outer housing positionable on an opposing side of the structure. A pocket connection region having an aperture formed through a wall of the inner housing is configured to receive a head of a fastener therethrough. After the fastener extends through the aperture, a clamp device may be moved from an open position to a closed position so as to releasably lock the fastener to the pocket connection region of the inner housing. In another form, a retainer is configured to hold the fastener with respect to the inner housing during installation of the lock assembly. In this manner an inner housing may be quickly connected to an outer housing when installing a lock assembly to the structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2018Publication date: October 24, 2019Inventors: Austin M. Patent number: 5775312Abstract: A spring air gun includes a reciprocable piston and a slide for cocking the piston. The slide is movable between forward and rearward positions. A piston rod is connected to the slide and is slidably mounted within a piston tube which is connected to the piston. A pair of springs are concentrically mounted on the piston tube, and the forward end of each spring engages the piston. The rearward end of the inner spring engages the slide, and the rearward end of the outer spring engages the frame of the gun. A detent maintains the slide in the forward position, and a sear maintains the piston in the cocked position and is engageable with the detent for preventing the slide from moving rearwardly until the gun is fired. The gun is fired by pulling a trigger, which releases the sear from the piston. The detent can then be moved to allow the slide to be moved rearwardly to cock the piston. When the slide is not in the forward position, the detent prevents the trigger from being pulled.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1997Date of Patent: July 7, 1998Assignee: Crosman CorporationInventors: Todd D. Wilkinson, Kenton H. Barker, James Grassi

Patent number: 5632264Abstract: A gun with a pivoting barrel includes a compression tube having a forked front end and a fork member which is inserted into the front end of the compression tube. The fork member includes a cylindrical body which is inserted into the compression tube and a pair of forked arms which extend along the inside of the forked end of the compression tube. A barrel is pivotably connected to the forked ends of the fork member and the compression tube. A spring clip on the barrel engages a stud on the fork member for releasably retaining the barrel in a firing position. A cocking lever connected to the barrel is engageable with a trigger extension for preventing the trigger from being pulled when the barrel is not in the firing position.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1995Date of Patent: May 27, 1997Assignee: Crosman CorporationInventors: Kenton H. Barker, Michael Cinquino, David C. Snyder

Patent number: 5438322Abstract: A frequency generating circuit and a cap-freeing mechanism in a bolt are responsive to a longitudinal movement of a piston in response to overheating of an associated bearing. The cap-freeing mechanism transfers a force from the piston to a cap, thereby freeing the cap from a head portion of the bolt and allowing an antenna to extend to the outside of the bolt. The frequency generating circuit is activated by a connection made between a switch and a battery of the circuit by the piston. Upon becoming activated, the frequency generating circuit sends a predetermined frequency or frequency pattern through the antenna.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 1994Date of Patent: August 1, 1995Assignee: General Railway Signal CorporationInventors: James M. Martin, Kenton H. Barker, Salvatore D. DiRaimo
