Abstract: An analog quartz timepiece having a manually operated external control member, and a correction signal generation circuit controlled by the external control member to generate low speed and high speed correction signals when the external control member is actuated for a short period of time and for a predetermined time interval, respectively, by which a stepping motor is driven at a selected speed to perform time correction. The timepiece also includes a click mechanism operative to shift an hours hand step-wise from any optional position without affecting a minutes hand and a seconds hand. The timepiece further includes a seconds zero-reset mechanism operative to reset the seconds hand to zero.

Abstract: The construction of an analogue crystal wrist watch which comprises a base plate, a power source battery cell on said base plate for providing energy to the circuit of said watch, a crystal oscillating element for generating a signal upon receipt of energy, an electronic circuit for dividing the frequency of the output signal from said crystal oscillating element, a frequency division circuit included in said electronic circuit, a step motor comprising a drive coil connected to said electronic circuit, a hand indication means driven by said step motor, an external operation member for correcting said hand indication means and a reset lever interlocked with said external operation member for resetting said electronic circuit.

A calendar correction mechanism is provided near the stem of the watch and the calendar display mechanism is located opposite the stem.

Abstract: A movement construction for a small size analog quartz timepiece having a battery, a quartz crystal oscillator, an integrated circuit chip, an electro-mechanical transducer including a driving coil, stators and a rotor, and a wheel train driven by the electro-mechanical transducer to actuate a time-indicating mechanism. In one preferred embodiment, the driving coil, stators and battery are arranged in a predetermined order along the longitudinal axis of the movement construction and the integrated circuit chip is disposed to be in vertical alignment with the stators. In another preferred embodiment, the driving coil, stators and battery are arranged in spaces different from each other in a horizontal plane.
