  • Patent number: 6549207
Abstract: A method and apparatus for dissolving an image on a display screen. The pixels of the objective image are divided into a plurality of groups in such a manner that the pixels in each group are dispersed in the image. Then one of the pixel groups is selected and the pixel values of the selected group are read from first storage means to multiply them by a weight. The resultant weighted pixel values are stored respectively in the storage locations, corresponding to the selected pixel group, within second storage means, from which the weighted pixel values are read in a predetermined order to display one of the sequential images on the display screen. The selecting, reading, multiplying, and storing procedures are repeated, wherein the respective pixel groups are selected cyclically and the weight is increased or decreased gradually as the repetition progresses.

  • Patent number: 6322339
Abstract: A highly reliable scroll compressor adapted to make the amount of a refrigerant taken in through a first suction inlet of a scroll compression element as equal as possible to that taken in through a second suction inlet of the scroll compression element so as to improve the intake efficiency, thereby suppressing pulsation and noise. If the sectional area of the inlet of a refrigerant passage through which a refrigerant taken in flows from an end of a swivel lap via the outer periphery thereof to the second suction inlet is denoted as A1, the sectional area of the inlet of the first suction inlet is denoted as A2, and the sectional area of the inlet of a communication groove is denoted as A3 when the gap between a stationary lap and the swivel lap of the scroll compression element reaches its maximum, then A1, A2, and A3 stay within a range defined by 1.5≦A2/(A1+A3)≦2.5.

  • Patent number: 6280168
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a multi-cylinder rotary compressor which can eliminate a number of balancers for preventing vibrations. Assuming that the mass eccentricity in a cylinder is m1×r1; the mass eccentricity in another cylinder is m2×r2; the mass eccentricity of a balancer attached to the lower side of a rotator is m3×r3; the mass eccentricity of another balancer attached to the upper side of the rotator is m4×r4; respective distances from the cylinder to another cylinder, the lower balancer and another balancer are L2, L3 and L4, when the balancing is attained with the expressions m1×r1+m4×r4=m2×r2+m3×r3, m4×r4×L4=m2×r2×L2+m3×r3×L3, and m1×r1=m2×r2, the lower balancer is eliminated and the mass eccentricity of the balancer is set to be not less than 20% and not more than 80% of m4×r4.

  • Patent number: 5782618
Abstract: There is provided a rotary compressor comprising an electric driving element and a rotary compression element in a hermetically sealed casing and constituted by setting a round cylinder block of the rotary compression element between a main bearing and an auxiliary bearing both of which support a shaft of the electric driving element and joining and securing at least two joining ends of the cylinder block to the inner periphery of the hermetically sealed casing; in which the thickness between the outermost ends of the joining ends of the cylinder block is set to 45 to 85% of the maximum thickness of the cylinder block in the axis direction. The rotary compressor of the present invention makes it possible to greatly reduce the air column resonance in the hermetically sealed casing due to pressure pulsation of discharged gas and the vibration due to pressure pulsation in the cylinder block of the rotary compression element and moreover reduce noises during operation.

  • Patent number: 4752896
Abstract: An ultrasonic imaging device includes an ultrasonic probe with a plurality of vibrators arranged linearly for transmitting ultrasonic beams to an object and receiving the reflected ultrasonic beams from the object. A driving unit is constructed to control the plurality of vibrators using a time control which employs delay lines to transmit ultrasonic beams to the object in a convergent manner and to receive diverging ultrasonic beams from the object. The ultrasonic imaging device further includes a processing unit for processing the signals from the probe to obtain the reconstruction data and a display unit for displaying the reconstruction data. Since the ultrasonic beams are transmitted using the plurality of vibrators, the transmitted ultrasonic beams are strong; therefore improving the SN ratio.

  • Patent number: 4653000
Abstract: In an ultrasonic computed tomography system including an image signal-processing apparatus for reconstructing an image signal of an object on the basis of a synthetic aperture technique, a probe includes a transducer unit. The transducer unit emits an ultrasonic beam to the object and detects the corresponding echo wave. Hologram data is produced in response to the echo wave and then digitized to have a predetermined number of bits by A/D converters. The digital hologram data is temporarily stored in buffer memories and read out under the control of a computer unit. The computer unit has a ROM assembled therein to prestore digital kernel function data, the number of whose bits is smaller than that of the digital hologram signals. The computer unit executes a convolution on the digital hologram data and the kernel function data, thus increasing the speed of a computation needed for image reconstruction.

  • Patent number: 4620546
Abstract: An ultrasound hyperthermia apparatus has a tomographic ultrasound probe for obtaining a tomographic image and a heating applicator for heating a tumor portion. A position detector is provided to detect the positional relationship of the tomographic ultrasound probe and the heating applicator with respect to a living organism, and a hot spot detector detects the position of a focusing point, i.e., a hot spot of the ultrasound radiated from the heating applicator in accordance with position data from the position detector, thereby generating an image signal indicating the hot spot. The image signal indicating the hot spot is superimposed on a tomographic image signal, and the hot spot is displayed on a TV monitor together with the tomographic image.
