  • Patent number: 7299862
Abstract: When latent heat is transferred between the two airflows flowing along the respective sides of each partition member, not only a layer of moisture absorbent but also a layer of flame retardant lies in the direction of transfer of the moisture. Thus, even if the moisture is absorbed by the layer of moisture absorbent, the layer of flame retardant resists the moisture transfer so that the amount of transfer of the moisture decreases in that part with a drop in the moisture permeability of the partition member. To solve the problem, there is provided a total heat exchanging element comprising partition members and spacing members having moisture permeable portions provided with moisture permeability and flame resisting portions provided with flame retardancy, the both portions not overlapping with each other within each single member.

  • Patent number: 7073736
Abstract: A shredder dust electrostatic separation apparatus separates and recovers various kinds of crushed pieces included in shredder dust by the use of electrostatic force. The apparatus includes a rotating drum made of a conductive material, which receives supplied shredder dust, a positive or negative voltage being applied thereon. The apparatus further includes a discharge wire strung along the sideline of the rotating drum. A negative or positive voltage is applied to the discharge wire to cause a discharge in a space between the discharge wire and the rotating drum. The various kinds of crushed pieces included in the shredder dust are charged by the discharge, the polarity of the crushed pieces being opposite to that of the rotating drum. The charged crushed pieces are attracted to the rotating drum. The charges of the crushed pieces are allowed to move to the rotating drum in accordance with the conductivities of the crushed pieces. Accordingly, there are differences in attraction force of the crushed pieces.

  • Publication number: 20060034999
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a chocolate drink having a smooth texture in the mouth without graininess, a refreshing aftertaste and also an excellent and rich flavor. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for producing a chocolate drink, which comprises the step of extracting cacao nibs with water and the step of removing insoluble solids from the extract, wherein the liquid temperature in both steps is set at a temperature higher than the melting point of cacao fat/oil. Thus, the present invention enables the provision of cacao fat/oil-rich chocolate drinks, in which the formation of precipitates is inhibited and no solidification of cacao fat/oil occurs during storage. The chocolate drinks have a smooth texture in the mouth without graininess, a refreshing aftertaste, and also an excellent flavor.

  • Patent number: 6036124
Abstract: A system for gasifying styrofoam and liquefying the resulting gas to a liquid styrofoam. This system is particularly useful for disposition of the styrofoam onto which non-meltable substances adhere. The system includes a pulverizing mechanism for pulverizing a lump of styrofoam and a melting vessel for melting the pulverized styrofoam. The resulting melt is filtered by a strainer to remove the non-meltable substances. The filtered styrofoam melt is transferred to a gasifying vessel for vaporization. The styrofoam gas (combustible gas) is then condensed by a gas cooler. A gas leaking from the melting vessel to the pulverizing mechanism through the constant volume feeder is discharged by a discharge line. The styrofoam gas is a combustible gas so that it may be used as a fuel gas for a gas burner. Part or all of the styrofoam gas is condensed by the gas cooler and recovered as a fuel oil.

  • Patent number: 5415112
Abstract: An incinerator is described which includes a cylindrical rotary furnace slightly inclined downwardly in its longitudinal direction for combusting material introduced into an entrance, a cylindrical housing for housing the furnace and a secondary combustor connected with an exit of the furnace. Partition plates are placed in an annular space between the housing and the furnace for defining a combustion air introduction zone below the furnace and recirculated gas introduction zone above the combustion air introduction zone. A gas recirculation duct extends from the secondary combustor to the furnace housing for introducing a portion of the gas flow discharged from the secondary combustor into the recirculated gas introduction zone. An external air flow is introduced to the combustion air introduction zone. The recirculated gas lowers the, temperature of the furnace and this results in reduced NOx generation.
