  • Patent number: 5416236
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for producing a sulfoneamide represented by the following formula (6) as an intermediate of a 6-haloalkyl-3-phenyluracil derivative, from as a starting material 4-halogeno-3-nitroaniline (9) or 2-halogeno-5-nitroaniline (10): ##STR1## (wherein X and Y independently represent a halogen atom, R represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 haloalkyl group and R' represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group or a phenyl group).
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5356863
Abstract: The present invention relates to an uracil derivative represented by the formula (1): ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, alkyl or haloalkyl; R.sup.2 represents haloalkyl; R.sup.3 represents hydrogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, hydroxymethyl, halogen or nitro; R.sup.4 represents hydrogen or halogen; R.sup.5 represents hydrogen, halogen, nitro or cyano; X represents oxygen or sulfur: provided that the case where both of Da and Db represent hydrogen is excluded and a herbicide containing the same. The compound can be safely applied to important crops and shows high effect against many weeds in a low amount.

  • Patent number: 5154755
Abstract: Disclosed herein is uracil derivatives having a trifluoromethyl group at the 6-position and a phenyl group at the 3-position which has a NHSO.sub.2 D.sup.26 group at 5-position of the benzene ring, halogen atom at 4-position thereof and hydrogen atom or halogen atom at 2-position thereof, which are represented by the formula (I) and showing penetrative translocation activity, a very high herbicidal activity and, particularly, no phytotoxicity against soybean, in which as compared with the conventional herbicidal compounds, the said uracil derivatives can be applied for either soil treatment or soil incorporation treatment, thereby producing a quick and high herbicidal effect even at a very low dosage against a large variety of weeds including perennial weeds, and have the property to residual effect for an appropriate period of time.

  • Patent number: 5127935
Abstract: Disclosed herein is uracil derivatives having a haloalkyl group at the 5-position and a phenyl group at the 2-position which has a specific substituent, which are represented by the formula (I) and showing penetrative translocation activity and a very high herbicidal activity, in which as compared with the conventional herbicidal compounds, the said uracil derivatives can be applied for either soil treatment or foliage treatment, thereby producing a quick and high herbicidal effect even at a very low dosage against a large variety of weeds including perennial weeds, and have the property to residual effect for an appropriate period of time.
