  • Patent number: 10688715
Abstract: A method of additive manufacturing of a three-dimensional object. is disclosed. The method comprises sequentially forming a plurality of layers in a configured pattern corresponding to the shape of the object, thereby forming the object. The formation of each layer comprises dispensing at least one uncured building material, and at least partially curing the uncured building material, wherein for at least one layer, the curing is initiated at least t seconds after commencement of curing of a layer immediately preceding that layer. The t parameter is longer than the number of seconds required for the formation of the layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 22, 2018
Date of Patent: June 23, 2020
    Assignee: Stratasys Ltd.
Inventors: Avraham Levy, Keren Regev, Claudio Rottman, Shai Hirsch

  • Patent number: 8440379
Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to a liquid electrophotographic ink, comprising a carrier liquid, and a pigment-polymer blend composition dispersed in the carrier liquid, the pigment-polymer blend composition comprising a pigment and a polymer blend of three distinct polymers. The polymer blend can comprise a first polymer having a melt flow rate of about 20 to about 70 g/10 min and a Vicat softening point of about 60° C. to about 70° C., a second polymer having a melt flow rate of about 80 to about 120 g/10 min, and a third polymer having an acidity of about 160 to about 230 mg KOH/g and a melt flow rate of at least 500 g/10 min. The liquid electrophotographic ink is typically formulated for printing from a liquid electrophotographic printer.

  • Publication number: 20070292162
Abstract: A method for reducing foam associated with an ink reservoir of a printing press is provided. The method can include printing a plurality of printed images with a nonaqueous ink delivered from an ink reservoir, periodically delivering a defoaming agent into the ink reservoir to reduce foam formation in the ink reservoir, and periodically delivering a charge control agent into the ink reservoir to charge the nonaqueous ink. Accordingly, fresh defoaming agent can be added to the ink reservoir periodically to reduce the level of foam in the reservoir and thus avoiding increasing foam levels associated with the degradation of the defoaming agent over time.
