  • Patent number: 11781895
Abstract: A system and method for observing fluid flow behavior at a selected site, deriving judgments and recommendations, and further communicating data, judgments and recommendations. The system receives flow rate information, derives a time series of fluid flow events therefrom, identifies compound events consisting of contemporaneous events, disaggregates compound events by application of an unsupervised model, and applies the unsupervised model to derive a solution space of a subset sum problem-type, wherein historical data of the observed fluid flow is not necessarily accessed.

  • Patent number: 10704935
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring, measuring and affecting fluid flow within a pipe element of a plumbing system. One version is attached proximate to, and installed through, a hose bib of a building water plumbing system. The device includes water flow sensing and monitoring modules that are coupled to a drag block. The drag block may be configured to be deployed and deformed within a fluid pipe as directed by a controller or by manual control. The controller is optionally communicatively or bi-directionally communicatively coupled to an external receiver or transceiver by wireless means. Data collected by the device is analyzed to detect leaks in the plumbing system. The device may include a power source, such as an electrical battery, a solar energy collector, and/or a wind energy collector.

  • Publication number: 20190173302
Abstract: A method and system for enabling detachable coupling of an electrical power storage battery includes a detachable battery module with an energy storage cell that powers a fluid flow detector, a communications interface and optionally a controller. The fluid flow detector, the communications interface and the controller are communicatively coupled. A housing encloses and protects the fluid flow detector, the communications interface and the controller and provides a receiver structure that accepts and at least partially encloses the battery module. An external power source provides electrical power source wherein a pathway of the module enables electrical energy delivery to the energy storage cell, the fluid flow detector, the communications interface and the controller. The battery module comprises at least one keyed feature to permit only properly aligned detachable coupling of the detachable battery with the controller.

  • Publication number: 20060184871
Abstract: A content display format that contains at least two levels of detail. In the first, or top level, there is a configuration of objects that designate different types of content for installing and playing on a player—for example, movies, music, photos, home video and a fifth option. Each of the content options is color-coded for ease of reference and is represented by a unique symbol, for instance, a pair of notes for designating music. When a user designates a content option, the display renders a second level of detail that displays a library of content files the designated content option. The user may select a desired content from the library and enjoy the content in a player.
