Thereafter, a step rate is calculated based on the activity data, an activity is determined based on the calculated step rate, and an effort is determined in terms of cardiovascular intensity based, at least in part, on the calculated step rate. An appropriate effort threshold of determined cardiovascular intensity is identified based on oxygen uptake threshold. After, an activity type is classified using the effort and the activity.
