Abstract: A method for investigating neurological function, especially parameters in neurological function that are associated with disease. The method uses electroencephalographic (EEG) potentials generated by the workings of the brain combined with cognitive activation procedures or tasks to allow the investigation of neurological functions of the brain. The collection of brain electrical signals in conjunction with the subjects carrying out one or several cognitive tasks allows the responses to be compared either to the results of other subjects or to results obtained from the same subjects under different conditions.
