  • Publication number: 20240139513
Abstract: The present technology provides systems and methods for directly suppressing nerve cells by delivering electrical stimulation having relatively long pulse widths and at amplitudes below an activation threshold of the nerve cells. For example, some embodiments include delivering a therapy signal having individual pulses with pulse widths of between about 5 ms and 100 ms. Directly suppressing the nerve cells is expected to reduce the transmission of pain signals.

  • Publication number: 20110316234
Abstract: This invention is a target that uses the kinetic energy stored in a plastic bb after it has been launched and transfers that energy into the target mass in order to cause a colored particulate matter to be expelled in such a manner as to make a mark on the target surface and to expel the same particulate matter into the surrounding area. This target reacts to the energy in order to visually inform the user that the target has been hit and, in the preferred embodiment, the point at which the impact occurred. Again, in the preferred embodiment, the colored particulate matter will be expelled both in front and back of the target. Additionally, the target faces can be machine-washed, dried, and hand-ironed for re-use.

  • Publication number: 20110019937
Abstract: A heavy-duty plastic bag is comprised of a flat front panel, a back panel and gusseted longitudinal side panels. One of the gusseted longitudinal side panels has extended opposed gusseted side walls to form bag carrying end panels. The bag carrying end panels are sealed with one another and are each provided with three spaced-apart handle holes for ease of carrying the bag by one or both ends of a person with the bag disposed horizontally to facilitate manipulation in carrying of the bag. The bag carrying end panels provide for reinforced hand holes and comfort to the hands of a user person. The gusseted side panels and front and back panels provide a heavy-duty plastic bag with four display panels.

  • Publication number: 20110016042
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to providing unique loan identifiers to track loans involved in Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) throughout the life-cycle of the individual loans, in one embodiment, a unique loan identifier, for example, a loan number, may be appended to loan data at initiation of each loan, for example, at the application stage, to and/or beyond the retirement of the loan. The unique loan identifiers may allow disparate financial data sources such as the credit histories of the borrowers to be associated with the individual loans, even as the loans are repackaged and resold as ABS in the secondary markets. Thus, market participants such as loan servicers and investors can access current and historical data associated with the loans. Other embodiments are directed to analyzing the data associated with the underlying loans and providing the analysis to the market participants including servicers, investors, and underwriters.

  • Patent number: 7044688
Abstract: A roof bolt comprises a shaft for insertion in a hole drilled in a mine roof and a head whereby the bolt may be rotated, the head being offset with respect to the longitudinal axis of the shaft so that when the bolt is rotated by means of its head the shaft is caused to describe a circle of greater diameter than its own diameter, and where the offset is at least 0.08 inch and not more than 0.25 inch. Preferably the offset is from 0.10 to 0.16 inch. The invention includes a method for the production of roof bolts which comprise a shaft for insertion in a hole drilled in a mine roof and a head whereby the bolt may be rotated, the method being characterised by being controlled so that at least 90% of the bolts produced have their head central axis offset with respect to the longitudinal axis of the shaft by an amount of at least about 0.08 inch and not more than about 0.25 inch.
