    Abstract: An actuating device may be used to operate an element inside a gas chamber through which coke-oven gas flows. The actuating device may include an actuating rod that can be connected to the element and may be arranged inside a raw gas manifold and guided to the outside through an opening. The actuating device may further include a cylinder/piston arrangement for creating axial actuating movements of the actuating rod. The actuating device may also include a device for sealing the actuating rod that is guided through the opening. The device for sealing the actuating rod may have a sealing sleeve that is arranged on an outer side of the raw gas manifold and is flexible in length. The device for sealing may further include a feed line for introducing a sealing medium into the interior space of the sealing sleeve. The sealing sleeve may be fixedly arranged at its one end and may enclose a gap between the actuating rod and the opening.

    Abstract: A device for compensating deviations from a coaxial arrangement of components of a regulating organ, said regulating arrangement being comprised of a regulating organ, a crown pipe, and an immersion cup which serve for controlling the gas pressure of a coke oven chamber, with the regulating arrangement being comprised of an immersion cup with a water immersion that seals the gas space of a coke oven chamber versus the gas collecting main and/or plant units downstream, and wherein the height of the water level of the water immersion represents a regulating means to control the gas pressure, and wherein said regulating arrangement is furthermore comprised of an immersion pipe that configures a specially shaped crown pipe at its end submerging into the water of the immersion cup, and that is comprised of a regulating organ to regulate the water level.

    Abstract: A device for setting up a control element for controlling the gas pressure of a coke oven chamber without expansion-induced deviations of the control assembly, which deviations in comparable devices from the prior art result from high temperatures and temperature differences in coke oven chambers during operation. The device and the method prevent water used for shutting off, cooling and removing water-soluble impurities from riser pipes from flowing out of the control element in an uncontrolled manner. Also disclosed is a method for controlling the gas pressure of a coke oven chamber using the device, wherein the pressure in the coke oven chamber relative to the collecting main conducting raw gas is controlled by using the control element without expansion-induced deviations of the regulating assembly.

The regulating arrangement also includes an immersion pipe which at its end is submerged in the water and at this end forms a specially shaped crown pipe. The regulating arrangement also has a regulating organ to control and regulate the water inflow.
