  • Patent number: 10837710
Abstract: A plate heat exchanger comprises first heat exchanger plates, second heat exchanger plates, first plate interspaces each formed by a primary pair of one second heat exchanger plate and an adjacent first heat exchanger plate, and second plate interspaces each formed by a secondary pair one first heat exchanger plate and an adjacent second heat exchanger plates. Each first heat exchanger plate comprises a peripheral rim surrounding a first porthole and defining an inlet channel for a first fluid through the plate heat exchanger. Each secondary pair encloses an inlet chamber adjacent to the peripheral rim. The inlet chamber is closed to the second plate interspaces, open to the inlet channel and communicates with one of the first plate interspaces via a nozzle member, thereby permitting a flow of the first fluid from the inlet channel to the first plate interspace.

  • Patent number: 8109326
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat transfer plate (1) intended to constitute, together with other heat transfer plates, a plate stack (2) with permanently connected plates for a heat exchanger (3), which heat transfer plate (1) has a first long side (4) and an opposite second long side (5), a first short side (6) and an opposite second short side (7), a heat transfer surface (8) exhibiting a pattern (9) of ridges (10) and valleys (11), first and second port regions (12 and 13), the first port region (12) being situated in a first corner portion (14) formed at the meeting between the first long side (4) and the first short side (6), the second port region (13) being situated in a second corner portion (15) formed at the meeting between the second long side (5) and the first short side (6), and the first port region (12) being connected to a number of ridges (10a-d) and valleys (11a-e), which ridges (10a-d) and valleys (11a-e) have in principle an extent from the first port region (12) diagonally towards the secon

  • Publication number: 20090038784
Abstract: This relates to a heat transfer plate (2) with locating means (8) and adapted to being stacked in a plate stack, and a heat exchanger including such plates (2). The plate (2) has a patterned heat transfer surface, an edge portion, ports, locating means (8) and accommodating means (14). Locating means (8) in the form of nibs (8) is situated on the heat transfer surface of the plate. The nibs (8) are between two planes (10 and 12) situated above the heat transfer surface pattern. In the plate stack, between two mutually adjacent plates (2), the nibs (8) fit into accommodating means (14) on an adjacent plate (2), which accommodating means (14) are disposed in the latter's heat transfer surface. Two mutually adjacent plates (2) in the plate stack together have two nibs (8) and two accommodating means (14) which fit into one another and thereby fix the plates (2) relative to one another so that the plates cannot shear or rotate relative to one another.

  • Publication number: 20090008073
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising a means and a plate stack, which plate stack is composed of a number of mutually similar heat transfer plates (1), every second heat transfer plate (1) in the stack being rotated 180° in a plane parallel with a heat transfer surface (9) in said heat transfer plate (1). A number of contact points (16a-d) are situated round a first port region (12) in such a way that at least one contact point (16b, c) adjoins two contact points (16a, c and 16b, d respectively), said contact points (16a-d) being in principle at the same radial distance from the centre of said port region (12). The invention further relates also to said means comprising a number of protrusions whereby the means fits into a pattern in said heat transfer plate (1). The invention also relates to a plate heat exchanger (3) comprising a plate stack (2) and at least one means (25) of the invention.
