Patent number: 10458406Abstract: A seal arrangement for a vane cell pump of cartridge design which is configured such that it can be switched into multiple flows is described. The seal arrangement comprises a first seal which is arranged so as to run around the circumference of a side plate of the vane cell pump, and a second seal which is arranged so as to run around a shaft leadthrough which is provided in the side plate. The seal arrangement is distinguished by a third seal which, apart from at least one first fluid connection, shuts off at least a second fluid connection with respect to the at least one first fluid connection within a region which is configured between the first seal and the second seal.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2017Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: MAGNA POWERTRAIN BAD HOMBURG GMBHInventors: Andreas Müller, Kerstin Rosenkranz

Patent number: 9366252Abstract: A pump has a suction region, a pressure region, and a pressure space which has an outflow region. A rotor is connected to a shaft in which rotor delivery elements are displacably received. The rotor has expelling regions connected to the pressure region by way of a first fluid path. A cold starting device is prestressed into a first functional position to shutoff a second fluid path from the pressure region to the pressure space, and is configured to be displaced counter to the prestress into a second functional position to open the second fluid path. The cold starting device is arranged in its second functional position at least in regions with a relief face which faces away from the pressure region in a relief receptacle. The relief face is loaded during operation of the pump with a pressure being smaller than a system pressure in the outflow region.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2014Date of Patent: June 14, 2016Assignee: Magna Powertrain Bad Homburg GmbHInventors: Ludger Holtmann, Kerstin Rosenkranz

Patent number: 7534101Abstract: A pump, preferably a vane cell pump for supplying a transmission with oil, includes a pump housing and a rotating group which is disposed inside the pump housing. The rotating group includes a side plate that may be mounted inside the pump housing in such a manner as to produce, at least temporarily, an axial gap between the side plate and the pump housing. A shaft is mounted inside the pump housing and a radial packing ring is located in a recess around the shaft. The packing ring seals off the rotating group towards the exterior radially on the pump housing and radially on the shaft using a sealing lip.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2004Date of Patent: May 19, 2009Assignee: LuK Fahreug-Hydraulik GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Kerstin Rosenkranz
