  • Patent number: 6551074
Abstract: A centrifugal fan capable of exhibiting enhanced waterproof performance without using a resin mold while being simplified in structure. Air is sucked from one axial side of a revolving shaft of an electric motor and discharged in a radial direction of the revolving shaft. A second side wall of a casing and a wall of a blade support of an impeller have opposite surface portions arranged opposite to each other in an axial direction of the revolving shaft, respectively. The opposite surface portions are formed into a configuration which permits the opposite surface portions to cooperate with each other to provide a labyrinth structure for preventing water from intruding into a space defined between a cup-like member and the second wall from an outside in the radial direction of the revolving shaft. A first side wall and the second side wall are formed with drainage through-holes.

  • Patent number: 6359354
Abstract: It is the object of the present invention to provide a long-life brushless fan motor which can be used for a long time in the environmental conditions in which water containing oil mist is splashed on the fan motor. A stator 1, a circuit substrate 4 including an electronic parts and a plurality of lead wires 21 are received in a stator side case 14. These parts in the case 14 are molded with an epoxy resin having a Shore hardness of D30 to D90 after curing, thereby forming a molded part 24. The pole faces 2b of the stator magnetic poles of the stator are covered with the molded part 24.

  • Patent number: 6158985
Abstract: An air fan capable of exhibiting an enhanced waterproof function while being simplified in structure. An end of an outer cylindrical wall of a motor support and that of a blade mounting wall are so formed that the end of the outer cylindrical wall is positioned outside the end of the blade mounting wall and a gap constituting a labyrinth structure is defined between both ends. The motor support also includes an inner cylindrical wall, which is fixedly mounted on an end thereof with a flange member including an annular flange extending outwardly in a radial direction. The inner cylindrical wall has a Length in an axial direction determined so that the annular flange is positioned in proximity to a suction port as compared with an outer opening of the gap.

  • Patent number: 5650678
Abstract: A bearing holder capable of holding therein a pair of bearings while keeping axes of the bearings to be positively aligned with each other and minimizing stress applied to the bearings. The bearing holder which is made of plastic resin and in which the bearings are held is mounted on a housing made of plastic resin. The bearing holder includes a hollow cylindrical holder body which is provided on an inner surface thereof with a plurality of projections inwardly projected therefrom so as to be contacted with an outer periphery of each of the bearings. The projections each are formed so as to continuously extend in a longitudinal direction of the holder body. The holder body is formed at each of both ends thereof with a plurality of slits each extending along each of both sides of each of the slits.
