  • Patent number: 10620643
Abstract: A fuel metering valve includes a valve body housing a valve element in an interior chamber between an inlet port and an outlet port, an actuator coupled to move the valve element relative to the valve body, and a controller configured to regulate the position of the valve body. The valve element regulates a flow of fuel through the valve body. The controller regulates the position of the valve body via an actuator based on measurements by differential and absolute pressure sensors to achieve a target mass flow rate of the fuel through the valve body. The differential pressure sensor is calibrated for accuracy only across a limited scale range based on a predetermined maximum subsonic pressure.

    Filed: April 20, 2016
Date of Patent: April 14, 2020
    Assignee: Woodward, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20160145442
Abstract: Methods for preventing corrosion of equipment having a corrodible metal surface that contacts water in a water system, the method comprising pre-treating the corrodible metal surface before the equipment is brought into service in the water system, the pre-treating including contacting a stannous corrosion inhibitor with the corrodible metal surface, wherein the stannous corrosion inhibitor is provided in sufficient amount and for sufficient time to form a protective film on at least a portion of the corrodible metal surface.

  • Publication number: 20140231151
Abstract: A precise and reproducible method of making a cutter element for a cutting tool includes positioning at least a first material layer of powder; a substrate and sintering. Whereby the positioning is performed by a fill to weight system, and comprises depositing the first material at a rate of about 1 mg per second to about 300 mg per second by the automated system.

  • Patent number: 7398138
Abstract: Systems for controlling aspects of recreational or other environments are described. Such systems are especially, but not exclusively, useful for controlling either or both of pool or spa settings and operations and include equipment that may be connected, in any appropriate way, to personal or other computers or other components capable of accepting and processing input. Operations of the systems additionally are capable of being simulated through software.

  • Patent number: 5185858
Abstract: A video switch having at least two inputs from separate frame buffers and being controlled by a select control signal as to which buffer signal will control the electron guns in the cathode ray tube. The determination of which frame buffer signal is applied on a pixel-by-pixel basis is determined by priority bits from priority buffers. In case of a tie in priority, a tie bit is provided.
