  • Publication number: 20240119000
Abstract: A data processing system includes a system fabric coupling a coherence manager and an input/output (I/O) requestor. The I/O requestor issues a first snoop request of a first I/O store operation and a subsequent second snoop request of a second I/O store operation. Each of the first and second snoop requests specifies an update to a respective storage location identified by a coherent memory address. The I/O requestor receives respective ownership coherence responses for each of the first and second I/O store operations. The respective first and second ownership coherence responses indicate the coherence manager has concurrent coherence ownership of the memory address for both the first and second I/O store operations. In response to receipt of each of the ownership coherence responses, the I/O requestor issues respective first and second execute coherence responses to command the coherence manager to initiate updates to the respective storage locations.

  • Patent number: 11928164
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to a network-based workflow system, employed for receiving workflows, defining one or more data-object types based on the workflows, generating data-objects, assigning a workflow from among the one or more workflows to the data-object, and managing the data-object through various states of based on the workflow. As discussed, a “workflow” refers to orchestrated and repeatable patterns enabled by a systematic organization of resources into processes that transform and modify presentations of data-objects based on corresponding data-object states. A workflow may therefore comprise a set of states, wherein each state is linked to another state by one or more transitions, and wherein the transitions are associated with a set of events which may occur at each state.

  • Patent number: 11393603
Abstract: Embodiments of a thermal divider insert for a dry storage, spent nuclear fuel cask are disclosed. The thermal divider insert enables safe storage of the hazardous nuclear material when one or more air inlets have been fully or partially blocked to an extent that insufficient air flows into the air inlets and through the cask for adequate cooling of the hazardous nuclear material. A concrete overpack contains a metal canister with the hazardous nuclear material. The overpack has an inside surface that is spaced from an outer surface of the canister to create an annular region that permits flow of air between the surfaces for cooling the canister. Air inlets near the bottom of the overpack communicate air from an outside into the annular region. Outlet vents near the top of the overpack communicate air from the annular region to the outside.

The thermal divider insert enables safe storage of the hazardous nuclear material when one or more air inlets have been fully or partially blocked to an extent that insufficient air flows into the air inlets and through the cask for adequate cooling of the hazardous nuclear material. In one embodiment, the cask comprises a metal canister having a top, bottom, and sidewall. The canister contains the hazardous nuclear material. A concrete overpack contains the metal canister with the hazardous nuclear material. The overpack has a top, bottom, and sidewall. The overpack has an inside surface that is spaced from an outer surface of the canister to create an annular region that permits flow of air between the surfaces for cooling the canister. One or more air inlets near the bottom of the overpack communicate air from an outside environment into the annular region.

  • Patent number: 10915130
Abstract: An approach to provide power from power supply devices to power consuming devices based on using priority levels for each of the power consuming and supply devices. The approach includes the steps of receiving information of a power consuming device from an energy management, including criticality information obtained from a universal appliance service system. The approach further includes receiving power supply information of one or more power supply devices associated with an electric grid, and receiving a power request from the power consuming device. The approach further includes determining that the power consuming device receives power from the power supply device, based on the criticality information and the power supply information.
