  • Patent number: 8246949
Abstract: The present invention includes methods and devices for providing sustained in-vivo release of an active agent to a subject. In some aspects, such release may be achieved by reacting an active agent in-vivo with a depot forming agent in order to form a sustained release active agent depot inside the subject. The depot can then release the active agent over a sustained period of time.

  • Publication number: 20120151420
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed which relate to conveying gestures associated with commands by displaying images that a user associates with a gesture. Upon performance of the gesture, the commands are carried out by a device, system, etc. For example, a mobile device displays a gesture icon of a hammer. The gesture icon is labeled with a command. When a user makes a downward motion with the forearm, the mobile device senses that gesture through a gesture sensor. The mobile device interprets the gesture and executes the command in the label of the gesture icon.

  • Publication number: 20120139827
Abstract: A method, computer readable medium and apparatus for interacting with a projected image using a shadow are disclosed. For example, the method projects an image of a processing device to create the projected image, and detects a shadow on the projected image. • Publication number: 20100178547
Abstract: A modular battery pack comprised of multiple modular batteries arranged in series, in parallel, or in series-parallel combinations is described. Each of the modular batteries is comprised of a first pair of opposed keyed side walls for series connection between adjacent modular batteries, and a second pair of opposed keyed side walls for parallel connection between adjacent modular batteries. The modular batteries are only able to connect to each other when the keys are matched and aligned. Additionally, the opposed end walls of the modular batteries have specifically configured terminals that prevent the possibility of making undesired connections between adjacent modular batteries.

  • Patent number: 7688596
Abstract: A protective housing for a circuit board mounted on an end of a cell is described. The protective housing includes a cut-out in its sidewall and a retaining wall centered in the cut-out. This provides a pair of gaps, one on each side of the retaining wall between the cut-out. These gaps are size so that lead wires extending from the circuit board are captured therein in a tight-fitting relationship. Consequently, the lengths of the leads extending from the protective housing of the cell to a quick disconnect at the distal end of the leads is precisely controlled. If desired, there can be more than one retaining wall providing a plurality of gaps for capturing a plurality of lead wires therein.

  • Publication number: 20070233925
Abstract: A centralized dependency management table for saving the dependency information about all nodes in a netlike data management system. When a user activates, modifies or deletes one node, the system will search the centralized dependency table for the dependency information about the target node and its related nodes. The system will determine whether it is necessary to check the dependency relationship or fields of a node according to the dependency relationships, and will determine whether a maintenance operation is allowed accordingly.

  • Patent number: 7137975
Abstract: An iontophoretic method for transporting compounds of interest across a body tissue is provided. The method utilizes an AC signal in conjunction with a barrier-modifying agent such as a fatty acid, fatty alcohol, bile acid, surfactant, or the like. The method enables the maintenance of a substantially constant electrical state in a localized region of the tissue through which transport occurs, thereby allowing a compound of interest to be transported across the tissue in a controlled and predictable manner. The barrier-modifying agent reduces the time as well as the voltage level required to achieve a target electrical resistance, thereby reducing patient discomfort and increasing the battery life of the iontophoresis device.
