  • Patent number: 6625652
Abstract: To make registration and confirmation of groups and confirmation of data transmission more scaleable, particularly for large groups, the size of a host list pruned in subsequent transmission. This host list management can be achieved by (a) creating a message that includes a list of one or more receivers;(b) sending the message over a network; (c) receiving over the network one or more replies from one or more of the receivers; (d) identifying each receiver for which one of the replies was received and establishing another message that includes the list with the identified receivers; (e) sending the message established in step (d) over the network; (f) creating a modified list by removing the identified receivers from the list; and (g) if there are one or more receivers on the modified list, repeating steps (c), (d), (e), (f), and (g) using the modified list as the list.

  • Patent number: 5832667
Abstract: A self-aligning window regulator for raising and lowering a windowpane in a motor vehicle door, having a mounting assembly fixed to the door comprising at least a mounting bracket, and a self-aligning assembly slidably attached to the mounting assembly at the mounting bracket. In certain preferred embodiments the self-aligning assembly includes a rail, a glider slidable over the rail, and attachment for connecting the glider to the windowpane. Connection element positioned between the rail and the mounting bracket allows the rail and the rest of the self-aligning assembly to float relative the mounting bracket. Preferably the connection element comprises a rivet extending from either the mounting bracket or the rail into a slot. The rivet can slide relative the slot and allow the self-aligning assembly to move relative the mounting bracket to accommodate stack-up tolerances or misalignments of the regulator componentry.

  • Patent number: 4777963
Abstract: A respiration monitoring device for an infant patient includes three thermistors which are arranged so that one thermistor underlies each nostril and one thermistor overlies the patient's mouth. The thermistors are mounted on a thin flexible support member having an adhesive back so that the same can be temporarily secured to the patient's nose. The support member includes an upper portion which overlies the bridge of the nose and a lower portion which overlies the nostrils. The lower portion has a pair of openings therein and two of the thermistors are arranged in these openings. Each thermistor is enclosed in a fabric mesh material to prevent inhalation of fragments in the event of breakage. The support member may also carry a CO.sub.2 sensor, an oxygen saturation sensor and/or a pulse rate sensor.
