  • Publication number: 20240430033
Abstract: A method and communication system has been developed to increase the number of messages sent over a bandwidth limited channel and/or under noisy conditions by using a variable message length encoding and decoding scheme. With this technique, the messages having a higher probability of being sent are shorter as compared to the messages that are less likely to be sent under the current conditions. With this technique, a higher number of transactions per unit of time can be communicated and/or executed over a given bandwidth limited channel. When the transmitted message is received, the receiver does not know the message length, but the receiver deduces the length by using information from various error detection and correction techniques, such as forward error correction (FEC) and cyclic redundancy check (CRC) techniques.

  • Publication number: 20240427559
Abstract: A system validates code ownership of software components identified in a build process. The system receives a pull request identifying a set of software components. The system analyzes code ownership of each software component using machine learning. The system provides features describing the software components as input to a machine learning model. The system determines based on the output of the machine learning model, whether the code ownership of the software component can be determined accurately. If the system determines that a software component identified by the pull request cannot be determined with high accuracy, the system may block the pull request or send a message indicating that the code ownership of a software component cannot be determined accurately.

  • Publication number: 20240428653
Abstract: In response to receiving a cashout instruction from a user to cash out a first monetary cashout amount from an electronic kiosk device, a processor circuit determines a cashless wallet account associated with the user. The processor circuit further causes a display device of the electronic kiosk device to display an offer message to the user to deposit the first monetary cashout amount and a cashless account utilization incentive amount into a new cashless wallet account. In response to receiving a first selection instruction indicative of acceptance of the offer message, The processor circuit further causes the first monetary cashout amount and the cashless account utilization incentive amount to be deposited into the cashless wallet account.

  • Publication number: 20240425994
Abstract: A method of making a material for capturing carbon dioxide from the earth's atmosphere, comprises producing an acid and a base with an electrochemical acid-base generator; dissolving a mineral in the acid to produce a mineral rich solution, separating silica from the mineral rich solution to form a silica depleted solution; adding a first portion of the base to the silica depleted solution to remove impurities by precipitation, adding a second portion of the base until ferrous hydroxide (Fe(OH)2) precipitates, then pausing base addition and removing the ferrous hydroxide precipitate from the solution. Then adding a third portion of the base to the iron-depleted solution to precipitate magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2) and/or calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2). Then recovering a salt solution and directing the recovered salt solution to the electrochemical acid-base generator to produce a new acid and a new base.

  • Publication number: 20240424448
Abstract: Printed spacer membrane elements offer the unique advantage of applying any pattern on the membrane surface to act as the feed spacer material. This is in contrast to conventional feed spacer mesh material that is uniform in thickness and density throughout the mesh. More open feed spaces can be utilized allowing closer spacing between membrane sheets in the feed space which allows more membrane sheet to be wrapped around the membrane element—resulting in more permeate flow—while simultaneously reducing the pressure loss from the feed to reject end of the element. Unique design features of printed spacers dramatically improve performance of membrane elements in contrast to conventional feed spacer mesh elements in the prior art.

  • Publication number: 20240430229
Abstract: Methods and systems identify a device on an IoT network. A network controller detects connection of the device on the IoT network and determines an organizational unique identifier (OUI) from a media access control (MAC) address of the device. The network controller retrieves a vendor ID from an OUI database. The network controller sends requests to the device via transmission control protocol (TCP) ports and receives a TCP port output. The network controller sends user datagram protocol (UDP) datagrams to the device via UDP ports and receives a UDP port output. The network controller determines a device fingerprint from the vendor ID, the TCP port output, and the UDP port output and matches the device fingerprint to parameters in an identity database to determine a first identity of the device. The network controller sends a DHCP deauthorization request to the device.
