  • Patent number: 12176117
Abstract: An integrated energy system includes a nuclear thermal plant situated on a nuclear site. The nuclear thermal plant produces thermal energy that is transported to a thermal energy storage system located outside the nuclear site. The thermal storage system is thermally coupled to a power generation system which is also remote to the nuclear site. By this arrangement, the nuclear thermal plant is isolated and decoupled from the power generation system. The nuclear thermal plant may supply thermal energy upwards of 800° C. or more to be stored at the thermal energy storage system until needed such as for industrial heat, power generation, or other uses. The thermal storage system is source agnostic, and one or more additional thermal energy generators, such as additional nuclear reactors, solar thermal plants, or other thermal energy generators can be coupled to a common thermal storage system and power generation system.

  • Patent number: 12176143
Abstract: An input device comprising a processor(s), an input element, an electropermanent magnet (EPM) assembly including: a permanent magnet operable to generate a magnetic field; and a magnetizing assembly configured to set a magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet, a first ferromagnetic element, and a second ferromagnetic element. The first ferromagnetic element is configured to part and move away from the second ferromagnetic element as the input element is depressed. When the EPM assembly magnetizes the permanent magnet to a first polarity, the first and second ferromagnetic elements are magnetically attracted to each other and provide an attracting that magnetically opposes the first and second ferromagnetic elements from parting, and when the EPM assembly magnetizes the permanent magnet to a second polarity, the first and second ferromagnetic elements are not magnetically attracted to each other and do not magnetically oppose the first and second ferromagnetic elements from parting.

  • Patent number: 12174877
Abstract: A system and method for measuring the quality of data reporting in a given medical study is presented. The instant innovation abstracts all relevant medical literature pertaining to a particular disease and categorizes the data and the study for quality and/or completeness. In an embodiment the instant innovation provides a system for study intake, permits user-determined search optimization, and provides for study data tagging. The innovation automates term inclusion and exclusion, automatically removing duplicates of previously collected study metadata, and then subjects the terms to a real-time sorting algorithm. Statistical analysis is performed upon included and excluded terms, and a representation of geometrical closeness from central tendency of any given data element is computed. The data elements and computed tendencies are reduced to a 2D visual representation and delivered to a user. The user may interact with the 2D visual representation using a device.

  • Patent number: 12171614
Abstract: For three-dimensional segmentation from two-dimensional intracardiac echocardiography imaging, the three-dimension segmentation is output by a machine-learnt multi-task generator. Rather than the brute force approach of training the generator from 2D ICE images to output a 2D segmentation, the generator is trained from 3D information, such as a sparse ICE volume assembled from the 2D ICE images. Where sufficient ground truth data is not available, computed tomography or magnetic resonance data may be used as the ground truth for the sample sparse ICE volumes. The generator is trained to output both the 3D segmentation and a complete volume (i.e., more voxels represented than in the sparse ICE volume). The 3D segmentation may be further used to project to 2D as an input with an ICE image to another network trained to output a 2D segmentation for the ICE image. Display of the 3D segmentation and/or 2D segmentation may guide ablation of tissue in the patient.

  • Patent number: 12173012
Abstract: Equipotent indolocarbazole-derived analogs of staurosporine identified herein are prepared through C—H borylation chemistry. Functionality resides at C2 and C10 of the indolocarbazole aromatic region.
