Abstract: Through-silicon via dies are described. In an example, a semiconductor die includes a substrate having a device side and a backside. An active device layer is in or on the device side of the substrate. A dielectric structure is over the active device layer. A first die-edge metal guard ring is in the dielectric structure and around an outer perimeter of the substrate. A plurality of metallization layers is in the dielectric structure and within the first die-edge metal guard ring. A plurality of through silicon vias is in the substrate and extend into the dielectric structure and are connected to the plurality of metallization layers. A plurality of backside metallization structures is beneath the backside of the substrate. The plurality of through silicon vias are connected to the plurality of backside metallization structures. A second die-edge metal guard ring is laterally around the plurality of backside metallization structures.

Abstract: Examples described herein relate to a switch device for a rack of two or more physical servers, wherein the switch device is coupled to the two or more physical servers and the switch device performs packet protocol processing termination for received packets and provides payload data from the received packets without a received packet header to a destination buffer of a destination physical server in the rack. In some examples, the switch device comprises at least one central processing unit, the at least one central processing unit is to execute packet processing operations on the received packets. In some examples, a physical server executes at least one virtualized execution environments (VEE) and the at least one central processing unit executes a VEE for packet processing of packets with data to be accessed by the physical server that executes the VEE.

Abstract: A steering system is provided. The steering system includes a housing and a ball shaft translatable relative to the housing. A ball nut is rotatably mounted within the housing. Rotation of the ball nut responsively causes the ball shaft to translate relative to the ball nut and the housing. The ball shaft has an opening extending therethrough. A pin is separate from the ball shaft and inserted into the opening. The pin engages the housing to limit rotation of the ball shaft relative to the housing.

Abstract: Exemplary barrier additive compositions have useful barrier properties. An exemplary barrier additive composition includes a nylon 6, a compatibilizer including maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene or polypropylene, and an optional optical tracer. The barrier additive composition can be used in containers for liquid chemicals, such as petroleum derived products. Also disclosed are polymer blends and films that include the barrier additive composition, methods of making the barrier additive composition, and methods of making containers and films that include the barrier additive composition.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to controlling access to a gaming system. According to one embodiment, controlling access to a gaming system can comprise initiating a start-up routine and reading, during the start-up routine, a pre-defined value stored in a memory of the gaming system. The pre-defined value can indicate a market in which the gaming system is to be operated. The market can comprise a commercial market or a non-commercial market. A determination can be made as to operate the gaming system in a commercial mode or a non-commercial mode based on the pre-defined value. In response to determining to operate the gaming system in the non-commercial mode operation of a feature or function of the gaming system can be modified. Modifying the operation of the feature or function of the gaming system can inhibit the gaming system from being used in an unauthorized commercial mode.

Abstract: A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body supported on the chassis, and a universal bracket coupled to the chassis. The universal bracket is coupled to (a) a lift cylinder assembly that is configured to lift the body relative to the chassis, or (b) a tiedown assembly that is configured to oppose movement of the body relative to the chassis. The universal bracket includes a sidewall that is coupled to a debris deflection device, a spill kit, a tire chain holder, an air dryer, a wheel chock holder, or a service lift pump.

Abstract: Techniques for presenting information indicating infrastructure security and compliance of services of a customer cloud environment to a customer-facing dashboard are disclosed. The information presented to the customer-facing dashboard is a subset of information available to operators associated with a cloud service provider (CSP). A tier-one dashboard service obtains information indicating infrastructure security and compliance of services in the customer cloud infrastructure environment. The tier-one dashboard service presents the information indicating infrastructure security and compliance to CSP operators on a CSP-facing dashboard. The CSP-facing dashboard is not accessible by customer operators. A tier-two dashboard service obtains the infrastructure security and compliance information from the tier-one dashboard service and filters the infrastructure security information to create a subset of information indicating the security and compliance of the services.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for treating vessel openings are disclosed herein. According to some embodiments, a device for treating a vessel opening comprises a housing configured to be positioned within an opening in subcutaneous tissue proximate the vessel opening. The housing can comprise an inner wall and an outer wall. The inner wall can define a first lumen configured to receive an elongate member therein and the inner and outer walls can define a second lumen configured to receive an adhesive. The outer wall of the housing can define one or more apertures extending radially from the second lumen to an environment external of the housing. The device can comprise an actuator configured to be received within the second lumen. Movement of the actuator can force the adhesive to move through the aperture to the external environment and into an extravascular space within the subcutaneous tissue proximate the vessel opening.

A control system operates the water system and the refrigeration system for cooling the ice formation device with the refrigeration system to form water supplied to the ice formation device by the water system into ice. A natural gas sensor detects natural gas and outputs a detection signal indicating detection of natural gas. A controller is connected to the natural gas sensor for receiving the detection signal. The controller outputs a response signal in response to receiving the detection signal. The response signal is operative to initiate a gas leak response action.

Abstract: A method for delivering notifications of software deprecations on an external unmanaged cloud environment is provided. The method may be implemented by at least one processor. The method may include gathering data from data sources hosted on an external unmanaged cloud environment but not serviced by the external unmanaged cloud environment; creating a data feed by aggregating the data gathered based on a predetermined criteria; streaming, via a network, the data feed to an internal managed cloud environment; storing the data feed in a data store on the internal managed cloud environment; joining the data feed with internal application data for at least one internal application on the internal managed cloud environment; and creating, based on the joined data, a backlog for delivering the notifications.

Abstract: A vaneaxial blower system has an axis of rotation and includes a stator and a rotor fan. The stator and the rotor include blades. Each blade extends from a leading edge to a trailing edge. An angle beta of each blade is defined as a slope of a camber line at a location along a span of the blade. An angle theta of each blade is defined as an angle measured between a vertical axis extending through the axis of rotation and a radius at the location along the span of the blade. The angle beta and the angle theta for the blades are selected to provide improved performance of the vaneaxial blower system.

Abstract: A device includes a flexible sheath, a member, an expansion device, and a therapeutic patch. The sheath has a length selected to extend from a distal end which, when the device is in operative configuration, is adjacent to the target site, to a proximal end. The member extends through the sheath from a proximal end to a distal end. The expansion device is coupled to and extends distally from a distal end of the member. The patch is wrapped around the expansion device and forced radially outward into contact with and adhere to a first target portion of tissue when the expansion device is moved to deployed configuration. The expansion device is movable, after the patch has been adhered to the portion as desired, from deployed configuration to insertion configuration to separate the patch from the expansion device leaving the patch in a desired position adhered to the portion.
