  • Patent number: 11625153
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to navigating a collection of media items. In accordance with one embodiment, in response to receiving an input, a device displays a first view of a collection of media items, including concurrently displaying a representation of a first time period and a representation of a second time period. In accordance with a determination that a current time is associated with a first recurring temporal event: the representation of the first time period includes a first representative media item and the representation of the second time period includes a second representative media item. In accordance with a determination that the current time is associated with a second recurring temporal event, the representation of the first time period includes a third representative media item and the representation of the second time period includes a fourth representative media item.

  • Publication number: 20230020678
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device may generate a day view, month views, and year view that show cards specific to each view. The cards include images, videos, and/or other assets from a media library that reflect a corresponding time frame of the card on which the assets are displayed. A selected view is presented in a graphical user interface (GUI) for interaction with a user of the media library. Upon selection of an asset displayed to the GUI, the view is switched to show more assets from a time frame similar to the selected asset while maintaining a focus on the selected asset.

  • Patent number: 11243996
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure present devices, methods, and computer readable medium for presenting a user interface that allows a user to quickly and easily filter and search a digital asset collection. The disclosed techniques allow for rapid recall of desired digital assets, linking assets into logical collections, and an overall improved user experience. The zero keyword/contextual keyword feature presents multimedia content icons and searchable keywords to allow a user to search the digital asset collection simply by tapping on one of these keywords. The top auto completion feature auto-completes suggestions in the search field based on various heuristics to ensure the method produces diverse and relevant results. The next keyword suggestion feature predicts a next search term based on learned properties about the digital asset collection.

  • Publication number: 20190340529
Abstract: Techniques of digital asset management (DAM) are described. A DAM system can obtain a knowledge graph metadata network describing relationships between metadata associated with a user's collection of digital assets (DAs), e.g., images, videos, music, etc. Based on information obtained, e.g., from the user's DA collection and/or the knowledge graph metadata network, the DAM system may provide users with more intelligent (and automated) DA sharing suggestions that are as relevant as possible for a given context. In some embodiments, the sharing suggestions may be based on one or more DAs recently shared with the user from a third party. In other embodiments, a proactive sharing suggestion may be presented to a user based on a detected indication of an intent to share DAs, e.g., based on the extraction of relevant features from an incoming message from a third party (or an outgoing message from the user to a third party).

  • Patent number: 10324973
Abstract: Techniques of generating a knowledge graph metadata network (metadata network) for digital asset management (DAM) are described. A DAM logic/module can obtain one or more first metadata assets describing characteristics associated with digital assets (DAs) in the DA collection. The DAM logic/module can also determine second metadata asset(s) and third metadata asset(s) describing characteristics associated with DAs in the DA collection based on the first metadata asset(s). The DAM logic/module can generate at least some of the metadata assets as nodes in a metadata network associated with the DA collection. The DAM logic/module can also determine, for at least two of the metadata assets, a correlation between the at least two metadata assets. The DAM logic/module can generate an edge in the metadata network between the nodes that represent the at least two metadata assets to represent the determined correlation.

  • Publication number: 20170357672
Abstract: Techniques of relating at least two digital assets based on digital asset management (DAM) are described. A DAM logic/module can obtain a knowledge graph metadata network (metadata network) of metadata associated with a collection of digital assets (DA collection). The metadata network comprises correlated metadata assets. Each metadata asset is represented a node in the metadata network. A correlation between metadata assets is represented as an edge in the metadata network. The DAM logic/module can select a first metadata asset using the metadata network. The DAM logic/module can also determine that the first metadata asset is associated with a second metadata asset. The DAM logic/module can identify a third metadata asset based on at least one of the first metadata asset or the second metadata asset. The DAM logic/module can cause one or more DAs associated with the third metadata asset to be presented via an output device.
