  • Publication number: 20250065909
Abstract: A method for consumption optimization of fully automated or partially automated driving maneuvers of a motor vehicle is provided. The disclosure provides that a self-learning system is operated by a processor circuit, and by way of which driving situation data is received, and the driving situation data is provided to a model of machine learning as input variables and the model is used to generate a specification signal for the at least one driver assistance system from the input variables, and consumption data of a consumption measurement is received and the consumption data is mapped on an evaluation signal by way of an evaluation function, and a training algorithm that trains the model is signaled by way of the evaluation signal, if, for the respective driving situation, the used specification is to be retained or enhanced or avoided.

  • Publication number: 20230221212
Abstract: A computer implemented method includes initiating vibration of a device via a vibrator built into the device. receiving vibration signals from a vibration detecting sensor built into the device, comparing the vibration signals to a reference vibration record, and generating an output identifying a device structural integrity based on the comparing.

  • Patent number: 11605183
Abstract: A method for aligning and merging contents from multiple collaborative workstations. Collaborative workstations are multiple workstations that contribute respective contents to be combined into a single computer-generated output. The content generated from each collaborative workstation is the collaborative content. Individual collaborative content is created from each workstation by a user drawing on a piece of paper that is placed on a workspace surface of the workstation. Collaborative contents contributed by multiple workstations are aligned such that a combined product (i.e., a single computer-generated output) including both virtual and physical content appears to be collaboratively drawn by multiple users on a single piece of paper.

  • Publication number: 20200312030
Abstract: A method for processing an augmented reality (AR) image includes: obtaining an AR workspace image of an AR workspace that includes a document in a first region of the AR workspace and an AR output projection in a second region of the AR workspace; obtaining an internal representation of the AR output projection; masking the AR workspace image of the AR workspace with the internal representation to eliminate the AR output projection in the AR workspace image; and generating, in response to masking the AR workspace image of the AR workspace, a clean version of the AR workspace image in which the AR output projection is eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20080104137
Abstract: A system and a method for the deferral and incremental performance of integrity processing for data rolled into a table of a data warehouse and for the deferral and incremental performance of maintenance on data rolled out of a table of the data warehouse while permitting general users online access to other data contained in the table. The rolled in and rolled out data are contained within specific data partitions of the table. Each data partition in the table has an associated distinguishable partition ID. Each data partition can also have associated attributes corresponding to containing rolled-in and rolled-out data respectively. Table operation mechanisms are arranged such that general users of the table do not access rolled in data in a partition for which integrity processing has not yet been performed and do not access rolled out data.

  • Publication number: 20070256851
Abstract: A concealing member for concealing exposed conduit within a building is provided. The concealing member includes a body having a channel formed therein. The channel is adapted to receive the exposed conduit. The concealing member further includes a decorative edge. When the concealing member is secured to a structural member of the building, the channel receives the exposed conduit, thereby concealing the exposed conduit, and the decorative edge is directed outwardly to provide an aesthetic appearance for the concealing member.

  • Publication number: 20070094163
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for tuning the performance of a software system. A generation of genomes is created that each represents a set of unique tunable parameter values (genes) associated with the software system. The software system is selectively configured with the genomes and executed to produce a score. Genomes that have produced meritorious scores are combined to serve as parent genomes for the creation of a next generation of child genomes having genes selected from each parent genome. The execution, scoring and parent selection cycle repeats for each new generation until performance tuning has completed.

  • Publication number: 20060136480
Abstract: A choose tree is generated at compile time to facilitate a determination if any partition of a range partitioned database table includes a particular key at runtime. To generate the choose tree at compile time, a query compiler receives a source code indicative of each partition of the range partitioned database table, and generates the choose tree from the source code at compile time where the choose tree is representative of a pre-computed binary search of the range partitioned database table. Thereafter, the choose tree can be interpreted/executed at runtime to facilitate a traversal of the choose tree for determining if any partition of the range partitioned database table includes the particular key.

  • Publication number: 20050138087
Abstract: A method and system are provided to enable restoration of a base table and associated catalog table from a database. Table names and table identifiers are copied to a header of a storage media during a backup of the database. When a restore of a designated table is requested, table identifier data is extracted from the header of the storage media housing the backup of the database. Accordingly, the designated base table and associated catalog table(s) are restored from the storage media based upon data stored in the header of the storage media during the backup of the database.
