  • Publication number: 20160031632
Abstract: Pop-up dispensing systems for dispensing substantially dry wipes while minimizing “clumping” and “fallbacks”, or sticking of tacky, adhesive binder loaded wipes within the interior of the container body. The dispensing system includes a container having a container body forming an interior region, and a plurality of stacked substantially dry wipes or other substrates. The wipes may be loaded with an adhesive binder or other material. By selecting and providing particular characteristics relative to the cross-sectional area of the dispensing orifice (e.g., 22 cm2 to 75 cm2) and the separation force profile (e.g., 1 gf/cm2 to 6 gf/cm2), wipes which are loaded with an adhesive, tacky binder material can be dispensed one at a time, while minimizing clumping and fallbacks, and any tendency of the wipes to becoming stuck within the container body.

  • Publication number: 20150259244
Abstract: Chemically strengthened glass articles having at least one deep compressive layer extending from a surface of the article to a depth of layer DOL of about 130 ?m up to about 175 ?m or, alternatively, to a depth of compression (DOC) in a range from about 90 ?m to about 120 ?m within the article. The compressive layer has a stress profile that includes a first substantially linear portion extending from a relatively shallow depth to the DOL or DOC and a second portion extending from the surface to the shallow depth. The second portion is substantially linear at a depth from 0 ?m to 5 ?m and has a steeper slope than that of the first portion of the profile. • Publication number: 20150052609
Abstract: Heterogeneous sensors simultaneously inspect network traffic for attacks. A signature-based sensor detects known attacks but has a blind spot, and a machine-learning based sensor that has been trained to detect attacks in the blind spot detects attacks that fail to conform to normal network traffic. False positive rates of the machine-learning based sensor are reduced by iterative testing using statistical techniques.

  • Publication number: 20140290558
Abstract: The thaw indicator is a device to determine if a frozen space has gone thru an undesired temperature change and if so remains in an alert position until manually reset even if the temperature corrects itself. It's made up of three major components a base, a piston indicator and a transparent tube. When frozen the thaw indicator looks like a thermometer when unfrozen it looks like a thermometer that has jumped out of its case indicating a change of temperature and state with great certainty. It has been designed to stay out of the way but in plain sight.

  • Patent number: 8201767
Abstract: A comminuting device for comminuting material. The device has a frame and a shear member having a main blade, the shear member movably coupled to the frame with a shear member slide bearing located at least partially inside the frame. A supporting table is coupled to the frame, the supporting table having a counter blade, the supporting table adapted to support the scrap material. The frame has an opening forming an access way to the shear member slide bearing. The main blade and the counter blade cooperate to chop the scrap material when the shear member is moved from a first position to a second position. The shear member slide bearing is removable from inside the frame through the opening without removal of the shear member from the frame.

  • Publication number: 20110099887
Abstract: A charcoal heating material, such as charcoal briquettes, includes a porous structure that facilitates the flow of oxygen about the charcoal, and thereby, enables the briquettes to ignite easily and quickly. In particular the lightweighted charcoal briquettes have a density from about 0.50 grams per cubic centimeter to about 0.80 grams per cubic centimeter. Methods of forming charcoal heating materials include mixing a rheology modifying agent and a moisture phase with a charcoal mixture to facilitate absorption of additional water into the solid matrix, providing increased porosity and lightweighting of the finished briquette after drying.
