  • Publication number: 20240216847
Abstract: An oil filter evacuator may be configured to attach to an oil filter housing of a vehicle and/or an oil filter adapter coupled with a vehicle, form a seal with the oil filter housing and/or oil filter adapter, and when an oil filter (such as a spin-on oil filter) is attached to the oil filter housing and/or the oil filter adapter, the oil filter evacuator may be sandwiched between the oil filter housing and/or the oil filter adapter and the oil filter, forming a seal with both the oil filter housing and/or the oil filter adapter and the oil filter. The oil filter evacuator may have a side-hole accessible on an exterior of the oil filter evacuator and extending into a passage of the oil filter evacuator such that pressurized air may be applied to the side-hole and passed into the oil filter system, thereby pressurizing the oil filter system.

  • Patent number: 11598432
Abstract: A check valve may be used to enable desired flow rates of fluid in a particular direction. In some examples, the check valve may have a hollow cylindrical body and a threaded portion on an exterior wall of the hollow cylindrical body such that the check valve may be coupled with an assembly, such as an adapter for a vehicle engine. The check valve may include a plunger having a dome shaped portion (e.g., cone shaped, semi-hemispherical shaped, rounded cone shaped, etc.) that extends out of the hollow cylindrical body into free space when the check valve is in an open position and forms a seal with the hollow cylindrical body when the check valve is in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 11052335
Abstract: An oil filter adapter device may be used to enable an engine or other machine that was manufactured for using cartridge oil filters to use spin-on oil filters. In some examples, the oil filter adapter may have a docking collar for coupling with an engine, a cylindrical base for coupling with an oil filter housing, and an attachment piece for coupling with a spin-on oil filter. The oil filter adapter may also have a spring disposed between the docking collar and the cylindrical base such that the docking collar is compressible relative to the cylindrical base to allow the oil filter adapter is able to couple to a variety of oil filter housings ranging in size and shape.
