  • Publication number: 20240095652
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media for optimizing indoor farming operations are provided, including the optimization of mixing and/or packaging a plurality of different harvested plant types for a plurality of different finished perishable good types, and/or the optimization of shipping a plurality of different packaged finished perishable goods to a plurality of different customers. Some finished perishable goods are a mix of two or more plant types, and some finished goods require overlapping plant types, and the optimization of a mix percentage of the two or more plant types is also provided. Systems, methods and computer-readable media for optimizing the respective time that seeds for each of a plurality of different plant species will be planted in an indoor farm facility in order to control a timing of unloading the plant species from two or more grow lanes in a grow-out zone of the facility are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10271558
Abstract: An automatic sandwich maker designed to automate the process of preparing sandwiches, including hamburgers, is included. This automated sandwich maker is designed for use in commercial kitchens, including small commercial kitchens, such as fast-food kitchens. The apparatus and method for automatically making sandwiches overcomes the drawbacks and limitations of the prior art. The individual sandwich process can be controlled by communications interface with a point of sales system. The inventive apparatus and method reduces manpower requirements for restaurants, provides enhanced ingredient control, and improves overall product quality.

  • Publication number: 20050177301
Abstract: Idle speed stability is imparted to a compression ignition engine by processing data values for actual engine speed and desired engine speed to yield a data value for engine speed error; processing (22) the data value for engine speed error according to a governor algorithm for yielding a data value for a mass fuel rate for governed fueling of the engine; c) processing (24) the data value for mass fuel rate for governed fueling of the engine and the data value for actual engine speed to yield a data value for a quantity of fuel to be injected into an engine cylinder during an ensuing stroke of a piston within the cylinder; and d) injecting (30) that quantity of fuel into the cylinder during that stroke.

  • Publication number: 20040227051
Abstract: A floating structural object protection system protects properties and lives from collisions occurring within waterways. The system generally comprises a pliable barrier and ballast container that allows it float partially submerged in water. According to the theory of the invention, the impact force resulting from a collision is less than the striking force by the principle of energy being released into space as the results of an inelastic collision (impulse-momentum theorem). The concept of the present invention is much improved over current devices used to protect structural objects, as it adjusts to water levels to always remain in position relative to surface craft and provides specific protection to each structural object instead of protection to the general area where structural objects are located.

  • Patent number: 4702755
Abstract: A drip trap for separating a liquid from a gas includes a casing, an inlet duct near the top end of the casing for introducing a liquid-containing gas into the casing, a downspout on the inner end of the casing beneath the bottom end of the downspout for discharging liquid from the casing, and a four-way two port valve for connecting either the inlet duct to a gas line for receiving liquid-containing gas, or the outlet duct to a drain for discharging liquid from the casing. The liquid-containing gas is fed into the casing until the liquid rises above the bottom of the downspout to compress gas in the top end of the casing. The valve is rotated to close the inlet duct and open the outlet duct to the drain, whereby liquid is discharged from the casing. The trapped gas provides the driving pressure for discharging the liquid and positive prevention of continuous venting of manifold gas vapors through the trap to atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4676509
Abstract: A bingo chip comprising a disk-shaped member of transparent material having a preformed slot concentrically positioned in and opening to the upper surface of the disk-shaped member. The preformed slot is shaped to accept a structure of magnetic material. The structure of magnetic material is positioned within the slot and secured in place by way of a layer of transparent material disposed over the structure and within the preformed slot.

  • Patent number: 4637613
Abstract: A bingo chip and method of manufacturing the same comprising a disk of see-through material having a slot formed therein, the slot being shaped to accept a structure of magnetic material. The structure of magnetic material being positioned within the slot and secured thereto. The transparent disk can have a concentric slot located on its outer periphery for the purpose of receiving a split ring of magnetic material. Alternatively, the disk can be provided with a ledge on which a ring of magnetic material is situated. After placing the ring on the ledge, a lip of overlying material on the disk is deformed over the top of the ring so as to permanently position it in place.
