  • Publication number: 20240403768
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide a framework to identify and recommend tasks that can be performed for the benefit of a member. Through this framework, a member is assigned with a representative that, over time, learns about the member's preferences and behavior, which can be used to recommend tasks that can be performed to reduce the member's cognitive load. Further, as the representative develops a relationship with the member over time, the representative can also curate experiences for the member and assist the member in achieving personal goals and ambitions.

  • Patent number: 7512220
Abstract: An xDSL modem apparatus for installation on a telephone jack wall plate. The apparatus includes a port for transmitting and receiving carrier waves, a low-pass filtering means, a high-pass filtering means, and a band-pass filtering means. The low-pass filtering means isolates low-frequency component of a received composite carrier wave below a first frequency and transmitting the isolated low-frequency component of the composite carrier wave. The high-pass filtering means isolates a high-frequency component of the composite carrier wave above a second frequency. The band-pass filtering means isolates a power component of the composite carrier wave, the power component being in a frequency range between the first and second frequencies. The apparatus also includes an xDSL modem for demodulating the high-frequency component of the composite carrier wave in order to recover a computer readable bitstream and for modulating a high-frequency carrier wave with a received computer readable bitstream.

  • Publication number: 20070050344
Abstract: A method and system for providing computer search results in connection with a medical information resource that has a plurality of stored medical topic documents. A user may provide a search request and in response have one or more medical topic documents in the medical information resource identified in a search result. A graphical user interface may be presented to the user including a topic title or other indication for the medical topic documents identified in the search result. The graphical user interface may be adapted to display additional information for a document presented in the first graphical user interface based on the user's selection of the title or other indication for the document such that the additional information is incorporated into and displayed simultaneously with at least a portion of the original graphical user interface.

  • Patent number: 5696790
Abstract: An encoding and decoding mechanism for communicating digital data where the binary states are represented by a duration of time between transitions of a signal. For instance, the time between zero crossings of a signal are used to represent binary states. These times can be selected so as to avoid ambiguities between the binary state being detected even where the transmission medium is irregular. A typical application is the creation of a LAN in a home using twisted pair telephone lines. The LAN can be made to be transparent and independent of telephone service received over lines shared with the LAN.
