  • Publication number: 20050193990
Abstract: A liquified gas delivery system for a motorized platform includes a holding tank configured to receive liquified gas. A first conduit extends from a vapor holding portion of the tank to a valve device. A second conduit extends from a liquid holding portion of the tank to the valve device. Fluid coupled to the valve device is a vaporizer which is in communication with an engine. The valve device selectively withdraws either liquified gas or liquified gas vapor from the tank depending on the pressure within the vapor holding portion of the tank. Various configurations of the delivery system can be utilized for pressurizing the tank during operation.

  • Publication number: 20050105545
Abstract: The present invention describes a communications system having a first link partner and a second link partner that are connected by a communications link having at least four pairs of conductors. According to IEEE Standard 802.3 (e.g. Ethernet) for 1000Base-T, a data link is maintained (in a period absent data transmission) by sending idle signals over four pairs of conductors of the cable to maintain a logical connection. This idle signal scheme is replaced with an alternate idle signaling scheme that uses only two pairs of conductors to maintain a logical connection and therefore can operate with using lower power. The other two pairs of conductors of the four pairs of conductors are unused to maintain a logical connection absent data transfer, and therefore can be used to implement a Suspend Mode of operation. During Suspend Mode, the physical layer of each link partner powers down unnecessary circuitry so as to operate in a low power environment.

  • Publication number: 20050102607
Abstract: A method and system for creating timed reminders linked to computer-readable documents. The present invention permits a user to create a reminder for any date and time, and associate any data file with the reminder in such a manner that the file is automatically opened, executed, or read as applicable at the date and time specified in the reminder. A document-linked reminder may be created from any application program within an application suite through the use of a reminder creation dialog. The reminder creation dialog permits a user to specify a time and date on which the reminder will activate, and an associated file. The reminder is then stored in a database. The reminder creation dialog may be later accessed in order to create additional reminders, or to edit the time, date, or associated file for existing reminders. Periodically, the document reminder system will poll the database in order to determine whether any reminders need to be activated.

  • Publication number: 20050089141
Abstract: A radiation therapy/surgery device optimised to meet the needs of the Neurosurgeon is provided, i.e. one for the treatment of tumours in the brain. It combines the qualities of a good penumbra and accuracy, simple prescription and operation, together with high reliability and minimal technical support. The device comprises a rotateable support, on which is provided a mount extending from the support out of the plane of the circle, and a radiation source attached to the mount via a pivot, the pivot having an axis which passes through the axis of rotation of the support, the radiation source being aligned so as to produce a beam which passes through the co-incidence of the rotation axis and the pivot. It will generally be easier to engineer the apparatus if the rotateable support is planar, and more convenient if the rotateable support is disposed in an upright position. The rotation of the rotateable support will be eased if this part of the apparatus is circular.

  • Publication number: 20050071326
Abstract: Disclosed is a technique for processing predicates in an iterator function. When an iterator function included in a statement is invoked, one or more predicates included in the statement are obtained. The one or more predicates are applied to a row of data. If applying the one or more predicates results in a match, the row of data is returned. If applying the one or more predicates does not result in a match, a search is performed for another row of data for which application of the one or more predicates results in a match. Also disclosed is a technique for processing predicates in which a statement including an iterator function and one or more predicates is received. A qualification descriptor that describes the one or more predicates and one or more functions that are to be used to evaluate the one or more predicates is created. Then, the iterator function is invoked one or more times, until receiving a done indicator from the iterator function.

  • Publication number: 20050038750
Abstract: A method is disclosed for a recipient to receive rights management (RM) protected content. The protected content is encrypted and decryptable according to a content key (KD), where (KD) is found in a corresponding license. In the method, the protected content is received while connectively coupled to a network through which the protected content may be obtained, and it is recognized that the received protected content is in fact protected content. In response to receiving the protected content and recognizing same, the license for the protected content is obtained from an RM server while still connectively coupled to the network and in an automatic manner. Thus, the license is available to the recipient even when such recipient is not connectively coupled to the RM server by way of the network at a later time. In one particular embodiment of the present invention, the protected content is received within an email.

  • Publication number: 20050030808
Abstract: The present invention provides a way of placing a physical layer device into a standby mode. After a link is established between multiple devices, a determination is made whether the device has data to transmit or whether a standby request was received from a link partner. If a standby request was received or the device has no data to transmit, standby mode is entered. In standby mode, unneeded circuitry is powered down. A transmitter in a channel and a receive path in a separate channel remain powered. While operating in standby mode, the PHY layer continuously transmits a standby code on the one or more channels that are not powered down. Standby mode is discontinued when a transceiver has data to transmit or when energy is detected on the powered down channels. Standby mode is also discontinued when no standby code is received, indicating a disconnect between devices.

  • Publication number: 20050027804
Abstract: A method is employed to propagate rights management (RM) protection to an email and to an attachment thereof comprising an RM-protectable document. The email with the RM-protectable attachment is authored, and a content key (KD) and a bind ID are generated. RM protection is first applied to the RM-protectable attachment of the email based on the generated (KD) and the generated bind ID, and the RM-protected attachment is attached to the email. RM protection is then applied to the email with the attached RM-protected attachment based on the generated (KD) and the generated bind ID. The RM-protected email and the RM-protected attachment thereof thus share the generated (KD) and the generated bind ID such that a license obtained for the RM-protected email and having therein the generated bind ID and the generated (KD) can be applied to render the RM-protected email and also the RM-protected attachment thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050021987
Abstract: A method is disclosed for rendering content encrypted according to a cryptographic key, where the content has corresponding rights data including a decryption key (KD) for decrypting the encrypted content, and where (KD) in the rights data is encrypted according to a public key of a rights management (RM) server (PU-RM) to result in (PU-RM(KD)). The RM server normally delivers (KD) within a license, but upon being decommissioned can no longer issue such license. In the method, a notification is received that the RM server has been decommissioned, and thereafter an attempt is made to render a piece of content. Such content is determined to be protected to the decommissioned RM server, and a request is sent to the decommissioned RM server for the content key (KD) for the content rather than any license. Thereafter (KD) is received from the decommissioned RM server.

  • Publication number: 20050021635
Abstract: A rights-managed email is provided for sending protected content from a sender to a recipient, whereby the recipient can render the protected content with a corresponding license if the recipient satisfies terms set forth in the license. In the email, a main information portion has a message that the email is rights management protected, and an attachment portion has the protected content. The recipient if enabled can render the protected content in the attachment portion. If not enabled, the recipient can only review the main information portion having the message. The enabled recipient recognizes that the email has the protected content in the attachment portion thereof, discounts the main information portion of the email, and examines the attachment portion of the email and proceeds based thereon to render the protected content in the attachment portion.

  • Publication number: 20050010595
Abstract: A type information configuration process automatically determines type information for all real-time data feeds being loaded into a relational database system (RDBMS). The automatic type information configuration system reduces the complexity of configuration while improving reliability and maintainability of the RDBMS. This system also removes the need for an additional database table and the resources associated with that additional database. The configuration of the real-time feed loader details the table and column of the data stream to be loaded by each data feed. The data stream is created based on the type it is expected to hold. The sub-type of the data stream is held in an encoded form in the systems catalogs of the database server. The present system accesses and decodes this subtype information based on the column and table in the configuration file to automatically find the type being loaded by the data feed.

  • Publication number: 20050005166
Abstract: A document store delivers a document requested therefrom from a folder having rights information associated therewith. In response to a request for a copy of the document, rights data for the copy of the document is defined based on the rights information of the folder, and the copy of the document and the defined rights data thereof are published to result in a package with the rights data and the copy of the document encrypted according to a content key (KD) to result in (KD(copy)). The formed package is then delivered to the requester. The rights data can be discovered upon the requester attempting to render the package and such discovery triggers a request for a corresponding license based on such rights data. The license includes (KD) therein in a form available to the requester to decrypt (KD(copy)) if the requester satisfies the rights data.

  • Publication number: 20040267776
Abstract: A system and associated method write data from an in-memory database to a disk database in an efficient manner and with a relatively short lag time. The integration of data from in-memory to disk is achieved by limiting the operations of the in-memory database to insert only. The system shortens lag time by reducing the number of transactions required to transfer data from in-memory database to disk memory. The system compiles into an RDBMS, knowledge about the structure of the in-memory database, and then uses the end of the transaction callbacks from the RDBMS to keep the in-memory database and the disk memory in synch. The RDBMS includes a daemon that runs periodically to find records in the in-memory database that have not yet been written to the RDBMS, and then writes the found records to the RDBMS as part of a single transaction. If the transaction completes successfully, the in-memory database is updated to reflect which records have been “flushed” to the RDBMS.
