Abstract: A storage system for elevating objects from a surface, such as storing a bicycle off the ground, the storage system including a first mounting plate coupled to a wheel; a second mounting plate spaced from the first mounting plate and coupled to a plurality of wheels; a first wheel assembly spaced from the first mounting plate; a second wheel assembly spaced from the second mounting plate; a cable operatively engaging each of the wheels; and a coupler extending from the first wheel assembly and a second coupler extending from the second wheel assembly. Each of the mounting plates may be made from a unitary piece of material, and each plate may include a plurality of arched channels for rotatably adjusting the mounting plates, e.g., to provide for generally linear alignment of pulley wheels when installing the system.

Abstract: A stand for supporting at least one bicycle may include a plurality of tubular frame members including a plurality of generally linear portions, a plurality of angled portions and a plurality of U-shaped portions. The stand also may include a foot having a generally planar bottom surface and an upper surface adapted for operatively engaging one of the U-shaped portions, a wall attachment for coupling a top of the stand to a wall, and a plurality of holders slidably coupled to the generally linear portions. Each of the holders may comprise a band surrounding a portion of the generally linear portions, a hook extending downward and outward from the band, and compressible portions that hold the hook at a desired position along the generally linear portion. In addition, the frame members may include swaged ends and spring-loaded pin assemblies for easy assembly and disassembly of the stand.

Abstract: In one aspect, a storage system includes a base comprising a bottom channel, a top channel and a protrusion therebetween, at least one arm having an upturned tab and a rearwardly extending tab, wherein the upturned tab is configured to engage the top channel and the rearwardly extending tab is configured to engage a bottom surface of the protrusion and further wherein the bottom channel is adapted to receive a second arm under the first arm. In another aspect, a storage system may be mountable to a friable substrate and include a base having a plurality of holes for accepting a plurality of drywall fasteners; a plurality of self-drilling drywall fasteners having a crest diameter of at least about ¼ inch; a plurality of arms operatively connected to said base; a shelf; and at least one hook or bin operatively connected to the base at the lower channel.

Abstract: A wall-mountable storage system, comprising a plurality of uprights having a mounting flange, an extending surface and a bracket interfacing flange, each upright having a plurality of openings spaced each of the mounting flange, the bracket interfacing flange and the extending surface for mounting the system to a wall, accepting passage of the brackets through the uprights, and mounting the brackets to the uprights, respectively. The configuration and load application of the system may increase the sheer component of loading on the system and decrease the bending moment component, thereby increasing the maximum load capacity of the system.
