  • Publication number: 20240010083
Abstract: Charging stations for electric vehicles may include arms that extend from a structure to allow easy deployment of a charging plug to a charging receptacle on an electric vehicle. The arms may be pivotally connected to the structure. Charging cables may be attached to the arms by a break away construction. Arms may include mechanical fuses that deform or break when excessive forces are applied to the arms. These features of construction can help to protect the charging station and charging cable from damage. Charging stations may include other features including lighting, motion sensors, cameras, and suspended plug cradles.

  • Patent number: 9554812
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for integrating an electromagnetic navigation system and a tool and aligning the tool with a target are presented, including a sensor tool, a tool, a field generator, a display, and a computer. The sensor tool attaches to a target component in a unique position relative to target features. The field generator is fixed relative to the tool except in rotation about a tool axis. The display is adjustably mounted to the tool and automatically adjusts image parameters. Target registration and error compensation methods are provided. The system detects magnetic field and signal disturbances that may lead to inaccurate navigation, filters navigation data, and adjusts filtering parameters based on detected conditions. Apparatus for proximally locking an IM nail such that a clear passage through the cannulation of the nail is maintained are provided.

  • Patent number: 9482269
Abstract: A system for isolating electrical current in an aircraft structure includes a first structure a bearing having an outer race and an inner race and a liner disposed therebetween, the outer race having a second structure coupled thereto. A dielectric seal is secured to the outer race and engages the inner race. A conditionally non-conductive gas occupies a sealed chamber that defines a gap between the inner race and the outer race. The gap has a predetermined magnitude sufficient to prevent electrical arcing or current leakage between the inner race and the outer race at a first voltage less than that voltage resulting from a lightning strike; and/or to conduct an electrical current between the inner race and the outer race at a second voltage greater than or equal to the voltage resulting from the lightning strike.

  • Patent number: 6572685
Abstract: An air filter assembly includes a filter media that is electrostatically charged. The filter media has a first porosity at the inlet side and a second porosity at the outlet side. An electrostatic charge preferably is maintained across the entire filter media to enhance the particle gathering qualities of the media. In one example, multiple layers of filter materials having different porosities are used. In another example, a single filter material having a progressively decreasing porosity is used. One example includes a conductive filter layer that serves as one of the electrodes for the electrostatic field generating portion of the assembly.
