Publication number: 20230186705Abstract: A rental guest verification system and method include a community access platform having at least one unit access device, a plurality of community access devices, a local server and a platform provider system. The platform provider system is in communication with the local server and creates a property owner portal for use by a property owner. A guest seeking to rent a unit from the property owner provides information through a guest portal and undergoes an identity and background check. A digital key is linked to the guest portal of the guest upon a successful background check. Upon arriving at the rental property, the guest portal captures a real time image of the guest and compares the same to the images used in the background check. If the comparison is a match, the guest key is activated to unlock the unit access device and community access devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2022Publication date: June 15, 2023Inventor: Kevin Cannon

Publication number: 20230079441Abstract: A computer-implemented method of re-ordering one or more of a plurality of drawing blocks on a slide of a user interface canvas is disclosed. The user interface canvas is stored in a graphics memory and displayed on an interface screen. The method comprises analyzing using a graphical processor memory elements in the graphics memory to identify a plurality of anchor positions for the plurality of drawing blocks and the slide, storing the identified anchor positions in the graphics memory, analyzing the identified and stored anchor positions to identify common elements from among the identified and stored anchor positions, and reordering at least one of the plurality of drawing blocks to a different position on the slide such that at least one of the anchor position of the re-ordered drawing block moves to a common element from among the identified and stored anchor positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2021Publication date: March 16, 2023Inventors: Maria Geller, Jeremy Vuillermet, Joanne Cheng, Adam Renklint, Kevin Cannon

Patent number: 11348338Abstract: A crowd motion summarization method that provides a rich, real-time description of the crowd's characteristics from a video, such as, speed, orientation, count, spatial locations, and time. A feature tracking module receives each video frame and detects features (feature points) from the video frame. A crowd occupancy detection module receives the video frame and generates a binary crowd occupancy map having human pixel positions which indicate the human location versus non-human location, and generates a total human count of humans detected in the video frame. The feature tracking module generates feature tracking information for only those features contained in the human pixel positions which indicate the human location. In an example, the detected features are Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi (KLT) features. A feature-crowd matching module generates, using the feature tracking information and the total human count: crowd motion data. The method outputs the crowd motion data.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2020Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Assignee: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tahmid Z Chowdhury, Kevin Cannons, Mohammad Asiful Hossain, Zhan Xu
