  • Patent number: 11974369
Abstract: A system and method for an accent lighting system is provided. The system includes a plurality of underwater luminaires each having a plurality of light emitting diodes, and a junction box controller housing a plurality of electrical components for generating electrical signals for controlling the plurality of underwater luminaries. The junction box controller can be mounted to an electrical conduit and a plurality of cables can connect the plurality of underwater luminaires with the junction box controller. An underwater luminaire can include a heat sink and a flexible circuit board having a plurality of light emitting diodes mounted on the heat sink. The flexible circuit board transfers heat from the light emitting diodes to the heat sink. The underwater luminaire can also include a wiring harness for connecting the underwater luminaire to a cable.

  • Publication number: 20240085148
Abstract: The bear spray holster with sound alarm is intended to prevent bear attacks on humans. The holster includes a cylindrical body for securing an aerosol canister and a portable alarm. In addition, the holster includes a pull strap that is configured to connect the canister to the detachable pull ring on the portable alarm. By securing both ends of the pull strap, the portable alarm activates when the canister is removed from the cylindrical body. During a bear encounter, the user can easily remove the canister from the holster and activate the portable alarm, all in one motion. Although bears typically hold their breath during a short-range charge or assault, the sound of the alarm disrupts the bear's breathing pattern. This disruption gives the user the best opportunity to spray in the direction of the bear, causing the bear to inhale more of the chemical repellant and retreat.

  • Patent number: 11669141
Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to computing systems having a common conductive pathway. One example provides a computing system comprising a power supply configured to output electrical power for delivery to one or more power nodes, and one or more power monitors configured to identify a power overload condition based on the power output by the power supply. The computing system further comprises a parent controller configured to, based at least on receiving an indication of the power overload condition, transmit an instruction to one or more child controllers that causes each child controller to effect a change in an operational state of a corresponding power node. The computing system also comprises a conductive pathway along which electrical power output from the power supply is transmitted for delivery to the one or more power nodes, and along which the instruction is transmitted to the one or more child controllers.

  • Patent number: 10986060
Abstract: A messaging system configured for recommending messages is provided. The messaging system machine trains a prediction model associated with a user based on past review and response times for past messages. During runtime, the messaging system generates a predicted user action time for each new message based on the prediction model and tags each new message with a corresponding predicted user action time. Based on an amount of available time, the predicted user action time for each new message, and importance for each new message, the messaging system determines a recommended set of new messages that the user should read and respond to during the available time, whereby a sum of the predicted user action time of the recommended set of new messages is equal to or less than the available time. The recommended set of new messages are visually distinguished for the user.
